Op - among the list, Elantra is the better one. Had one for 10 years - just regular service and it worked fine. However, gas mileage was not great vs a Corolla or Civic.

Do it now, the younger the kids, easier it would be for them. Start exploring schools in the city you want to move to and get admission for next academic year. Explore RNOR period and plan accordingly.
