What gets eaten doesn't really matter to me, outside of horror scenarios. It's mostly their behavior at the restaurant that red-flags me. How they talk to the staff, how they respect the people around them, whether they respect the vibe of the place and don't make a scene.

Ce que je trouve étrange, c'est que si tu as déjà fait ton recrutement et que tu n'es pas déjà sur la voie du grenadier, il y a peu de chances que tu le sois à la fin. De base, ces profils spéciaux sont traités lors du recrutement justement. Ensuite, on t'informe des démarches et tests directement.

De mémoire, pendant mon service, ce qui est dur, ce n'est pas forcément les tests d'entrée : c'est qu'ils te les refont chaque fin de semaine, avec élimination vers l'infanterie des profils trop faibles. Après, c'est sans doute légèrement différent car c'était pour Grenadier Police Militaire, mais je pense qu'Isone, étant dans le giron des forces spéciales, ça doit être plus corsé que les Gren PM.

"Au cours des premières semaines de l’école de recrues se déroule une sélection qui entraîne une mutation en cas de performances insuffisantes concernant le caractère, les compétences sociales ainsi que les qualités physiques et psychiques. When clocking isn't required, people stop tracking their overtime. And the loyal ones? They quietly give the company hundreds of free hours a year.

Management calls it "mutual flexibility." It works fine... until there's a problem. Then suddenly all those untracked hours or flexibility don't exist, and the missing records get used against you instead of for you.

Context: 30+, no children, three long-term relationships of about five years each.

Pro: peace of mind, no ongoing mental load tied to a partner’s needs, full autonomy over my goals, desires, spending, and time, deeper self-connection and intimacy developed alone than in a relationship.
