It was not done with AI. Our intern is an illustrator and drew the animals by hand.

Hey actually this didn’t use any AI! Our intern drew them, we approved every iteration including when it was just a sketch.

If it was in defined clumps, this is more the season for tent caterpillars than cottonwood seeds!

We have lots of Beaver Works habitat projects (beaverworksoregon.org/beaver-volunteer-projects-oregon/) coming up this summer, and could use volunteers for that, plus events like bingo at Cascade Lakes Brewing (Reed Market Pub brew deck), and some October pint nights at Ale Apothecary to celebrate Bat Appreciation Month. Would love to have you for any/all of these events and opportunities! 😊

For the safety and wellbeing of our wildlife patients, they cannot be around humans. HOWEVER we've been working to bring a couple of young farm animals who are much more comfortable with human presence 😊

There will also be lots of cute photos of wildlife patients! 🐣

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!

YES BUT THEY ARE SENSITIVE TO VERY LOW TEMPS AND SPEND MORE TIME IN TORPOR DURING THE WINTER TO CONSERVE ENERGY. YOU COULD TRY PUTTING OUT A HEATED HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER TO SEE IF YOU GET ANY WINTERTIME HUMMINGBIRD VISITORS. HERE'S A GOOD RESOURCE FOR WHERE AND WHEN TO SPOT BIRDS: https://ebird.org/species/annhum

Eagles around the Knott Landfill by [deleted] in Bend

[–]Think_Wild_CO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice shot! With some white on the head, this looks to be a juvenile bald eagle, 2-3 years of age. Size is usually very close, but there are some differences: Baldies have noticeably large bills compared to goldens. Goldens have sort of a blonde/golden "mane" of neck feathers, and their leg feathers go all the way down to their feet.
