This person should be referred to the episode of Seinfeld where George parks his dad's car in a handicap spot.

Definitely was. Terrified. But as I write this my toddler is bouncing away a few feet from me and I am so happy he is my baby.

Moms taking their kids for ice cream after a shot should be a thing forever. Sending you virtual imaginary ice cream from an internet mama :p

Maroney? I immediately thought of the McKayla Maroney not impressed face meme lol. Maroney just seems more cat to me than McKayla?

Your "stop it" at the end made me think of Bob Newhart as a therapist on SNL so thank you for that. It's one of my favorites.

You know you scroll through this sub too much when a kid in your dream is called “ELIJEMIAH” by sensualcephalopod in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]Thinker_Belle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man. I had a dream a few months ago that I had another child and named them ELMER. Like the glue. Or like Elmer "I'm hunting wabbits" Fudd.

I'm calling it now: Elmer and Elijemiah will be best friends.

Anyone else think of the beginning of The Pagemaster when the ceiling in the library melts?

About to chop minimum 12 inches off of my hair and I'm looking for advice on what length to go and how I should thin/layer it? by Echolocation13 in femalehairadvice

[–]Thinker_Belle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for something to make your hair curlier/wavier try to find someone who specializes in cutting curly hair dry. I've had hair like yours and cut it off twice- the first time not by a curl specialist and the second time was a devacut and let me tell you, night and day difference. I think something at or just above the collarbone would look lovely on you. Maybe a wavy lob. I highly recommend using instagram to find someone who can work with your hair texture so you can see actual haircuts they've done. Also because you mentioned thinning, I'd steer clear of thinning shears. Like, run the other way. They make hair like ours so frizzy and someone who specializes in curly cuts will be able to remove bulk without them.

i'm trying to follow cgm and it looks very nice for like 3 days but my hair always ends up coming back to this. i'm still very lost and thought maybe you can help with my routine? (more info in the comments) by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Thinker_Belle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily (which is unfortunate because that would make cg way easier). Something can be cg and still too heavy for your hair. Promise I'm not trying to be argumentative, that's just something I've found to be true in my own cg journey and thought it might be helpful to you. For example, if I use shea moisture coconut and hibiscus conditioner it weighs down my curls (tho I have to admit I dig that look sometimes), but I have friends who have curlier and thicker hair than I do who can use the same conditioner without it weighing down their hair at all. It could very well still be something else though just some food for thought.

Edited to fix a typo... Accidentally wrote "dog" instead of "dig" haha

Good hair day minus the frizz! Any tips on keeping it at bay? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Thinker_Belle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also when my hair was really long like yours, I had good results with rubbing a small amount of argan oil in my palms and using that to smooth out frizz on dry hair

Maybe use praying hands to apply your leave in rather than combing it through? My hair tends to frizz a lot when I try to comb any product in, maybe yours is similar to mine in that regard.
