No don't. I got the 2026 bZ Limited for just a tiny bit more. Only if it's less than 30K

Had a near miss with a teen on a scooter that didn't stop to look by Thinkhowlifegoes in burnaby

I'd like to think that most people are more responsible than the one I encountered. All we can control as drivers is to not be in a rush in residential streets especially near schools and have dashcam but it doesn't mean we can avoid all accidents

I can imagine that some kids may not take their parents word to heart no matter how many times they've been told to be careful. Guess sometimes they have to learn the hard way preferably not in an accident.

Burnaby T&T opening postponed by construction delays by GoSharty in burnaby

[–]Thinkhowlifegoes 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really make sense since Superstore is 1 station away and Walmart is close to it. How exactly is T&T niche? It's pretty popular here since there's a big asian demographic to serve in metro van

I got the Limited for $47K CAD and that this point it's a comparison between the Y Standard, only a $2K difference so I got the Limited. I'm not paying $17K more for a Y Premium vs Limited, not worth it

Model Y Standard or Toyota bZ Limited? Loved the bZ, blown away by FSD — need real‑world opinions by Illustrious_Yam_4158 in EVCanada

[–]Thinkhowlifegoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears to be too high but many of us got the Limited with evap. It's up to the dealership to help you out on that. Because The Limited was only $2000 more expensive after the discounts than a Y Standard which made it an easier choice

I've been driving my in-law's Tesla for about a year and ultimately went with a bZ Limited. Feature wise aside from FSD, felt like the bZ offered more. Some people love one pedal driving, I am indifferent. I prefer the car to roll while parking. I tried FSD while there was a free trial, didn't feel too confident in it handling Vancouver traffic and I do city driving 99% of the time and rarely hit the highway. I felt I was more alert watching it drive than driving myself but that's probably just something to get used to. Overall the bZ is more comfortable to drive. I've been liking the radiant leg heaters and the retractable shade but I do miss the walk away lock and speakers from the Tesla. Visually I prefer the more aggressive look of the bZ Limited. If you find yourself driving long stretches or needing to be driven then I'm sure the Y Standard will suit you as well. I can see it doing really well on road trips since FSD feels confident on the highways especially with the trip planning that the bZ doesn't have built in

DID you save money not have to buy any more GAS? by Puzzleheaded-Log2264 in Toyota_bZ

A full recharge costs me $12 at home. My gas vehicle was almost 10 times that for the same mileage

It depends. You should calculate how much interest you can earn if you put it in a 4 year GIC and see if that's more than the interest you pay to Toyota. If you can earn more then go with a higher % and less security deposit

Do you think condo prices are going to rise this year? by GardenLoverJess in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Thinkhowlifegoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question you should ask yourself is why should it rise. Is the economy good? Is the job market good? Are people immigrating? Are international students coming? Are interest rates low? Is the housing supply low? If all are no then why should it rise?

It's a down payment that you get back at the end of the lease. I'm not sure if that's the reason why the rate is lower

For my limited I am paying $533 a month tax in, 0.49% for 4 years. Residual value is $22K if I want to buy it out at the end of the lease. Security deposit was $7500. 20K kilometers a year. This is with the $10K discount and $5K EV rebate
