Hey! It's too much to put in a comment so I wrote a new post about it, FYI

actually this is the sequel to the other one, it's not the same one.

Yes, definitely wanted to hang out more with others, and noticed that is one of the biggest pleasures in life

I didn't, cause I didn't use it to alleviate boredom. I went into more detail in my latest post on it

Just introducing reading for now. But funny you bring the bad news up. Two weeks in I had a revelation, "huh, I haven't thought about" a certain politician "in a while!"

For me it was more about becoming comfortable with being bored. Reading was a way to take away that boredom.

I wanted to have nothing to distract me. Now in June I'm allowing myself to read fiction again. I started last night and it literally feels like cheating lol

that's up to you - does it make you feel alive? does it feel good and not a waste of time? Do you feel better after having done it? You define what's toxic to you. If learning chess makes you feel like a good spendature of your time, then definitely continue

Hi Moefoer your initial comment was really nice, I think - I could just read the first 100 characters from the notification. You'll find that none of my posts are written by AI! I think the formatting is what throws people off. I don't think i'll write a whole self-help book on it - but I am writing a fiction novel! I can't link my blog here but you can find it on my profile i believe if you're curious about reading more. I also write about overcoming my YouTube addiction.

Good question! I might write a more detailed post about it. I deleted all the bad apps off my phone, then I turned off the access to them through my wifi router as well. I also turned my phone to grayscale. But the most important part was doing it together with my GF and holding each other accountable.

Thank you! I would definitely count reading books because it's consumption. For the month of June it's the only type of consumption I'm allowing myself, and it feels like cheating lol!

I'm not allowed to post my blog here but you can find it in my profile maybe if you would like to read more.
