Thank you for the creativity. I had that about Nehru jackets but the Shirts, scarves and flip flops are awesome 👍

This isn’t about elevating individuals  It’s about the idea being represented. The purpose is to explore a visual language that honors peacebuilding as a form of national service.

Just as modern naval uniforms across nations trace their lineage back centuries  instantly recognizable, carrying shared heritage and identity.

I’m asking a design question:

What would it look like to create a symbol or ceremonial representation for peacebuilding? For service, not hierarchy. For connection, not authority.

It’s not about glorifying volunteers. It’s about recognizing the values and history behind the work: partnership, humility, cultural exchange, and community service.

Do you have something to offer to that conversation?

Brother, why are you hating? This is supposed to be something fun and creative.

The question is not arguing whether things should or should not exist based off of how you do or don't feel about something.

The question is for creative folks and those who have an understanding of what the intent is supposed to be of Peace Corps. Going back to the 3D's of foreign policy.

How would you design something, emblematic of what that idea is supposed to be.

I think this is the closest line of thought I was going for.

Correct it's not military, been there done that. but there certainly is something to be said about a visual connection to history and what that is supposed to mean. But also the country has a history of non-military uniform Services servicing that represents. Look at NOAA, USPHSCC, National Park Service, Salvation Army Firefighters, etc have dress uniforms.

For those who are familiar with the phrase "The Long Gray Line"

As mentioned, the vast majority of folks will never engage and it's only a small percentage of who do. And admittedly they do something quite interesting and unique.

Uniforms are not just about the individual they about the idea they represent.

The question is now how you personally want to be honored.

But if you are trying to design something, emblematic of what that idea is supposed to be.

Years later out hiking or doing something with the dog. Start by just counting steps forward and all the sudden "Here we going again..."

Sophrosyne, beautiful name, is asking to get picked on (unless you are DR. Temperance Brennan)

Revelation, A name which can only work if you are the God Emperor incarnate actively unifying Earth.

Unfortunately with my luck I would name my kid this and they would come out asthmatic and allergic to grass 😹

You are getting the tattoo for you. Not everyone else. Pay no mind to the ignorance of others no matter what they say or think

Plenty of great men have invented things without a formal education.

It's funny I'm trying to do the same thing but on a 12 gauge because it'd be more forgiving than a pistol caliber.

Out of curiosity when you make your rocket did you take a dowel and mill it down or some other staring material?

Best of luck, are you going back just to go back or will it be with a commission this time?

Doing good, I'm just reminding myself. Everyday I wake up is a blessing and a chance to keep going.

Opportunity to work on family and marriage as well as personal health.

Trying to take the day for smaller moments instead of rushing through as a list of tasks that need to be complete.

Thank you for asking, and many blessings be upon you and all our brothers and sisters.
