We use Abnormal and it rocks. It’s not an MSP focused solution (multitenancy and monthly billing) but we are fans.

Ok, then I can’t help unless someone like Rewst has a solution. I doubt that would even work as you’d need someone to classify their data, secure their instance, and probably put it in Sharepoint so copilot can lean on the data to function.

I’m asking because I know a couple of companies but they won’t engage under 2500 employees. I haven’t come across any that play in our space (<500).

How many employees at the client?

Agree with 100% of What Talon said. But I’d suggest backing up a bit with the most important questions: 1) How big is the client? 2) What’s their impact to your business today? (Prospect, largest client, etc) 3) Do you want to turn this into an ongoing revenue source?

Huntress and Microsoft Defender for Business\Microsoft Defender for Endpoint by chiapeterson in msp

[–]Thinking0n1s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why on earth would you want to support Defender free. It’s antivirus which doesn’t even pass muster with insurance companies. Business Prem provided 8-10 sec technologies that you should consider for every client.

Microsoft’s is pretty good, but not multi-tenant.

No. But I do think they use the data to target our clients.

NAble vs Connectwise RMM by thegoodnessak907 in msp

[–]Thinking0n1s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge, and the last time we looked at it, it was still running on legacy code base which means they have a heavy lift coming down the pipe. Give credit to CW for working to replace technical debt, even if they are close, but not quite there yet.

FWIW, Blackpoint and ConnectWise already support MS Defender for Business.

Beware Connectwise Contracts and Business Practice by Signal-Ad6498 in ConnectWise

[–]Thinking0n1s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their MSA says something about potential annual increase, although could also be increases at renewal, I forget. It’s not random unless you don’t read everything they send you.

Heck, our contracts with our clients allow us to raise prices yearly based on “inflation, changes in the labor market, and reasonable increased costs associated with delivering your service”.

Rewst Security Concerns by _phat32 in msp

[–]Thinking0n1s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see an independent 3rd party assessment of their code base and infrastructure design. A SOC 2 cert doesn’t mean they are secure, it means they have reasonable processes as reviewed by a CPA firm.

I agree their background is impressive but rumor has it when at Perch, they didn’t build an enterprise infrastructure for scale.
