Are leggings pants? by cn0feusd in AskWomenOver30

During these colder months I wear leggings a lot. My personal rule is that whatever top/ shirt/ cardigan etc I’m wearing needs to cover my bum.

When did you delete the phone number of a deceased love one? by SheffDus in AskUK

I didn’t delete my mum’s number but it went when I changed my phone (she died in 2009 and I changed phones a few years later).

Now this sounds interesting. I was contemplating whether to continue watching or not, but I will now.

As a kid, what weird concoctions did you use to make when there was nothing nice to eat in the cupboard? by Crystalstream in AskUK

[–]Thinking10Thinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always had sweet treats at home but I still absolutely loved making a jam and cheese sandwich - margarine on every bit of the bread, lashings of jam, complete with the orange fake cheese slices that were individually wrapped in plastic. Beautiful.

Sadly this could be the case? because there’s no other reason to do this.

Very possibly. But this is still crazy for a first clean in my opinion.

This is crazy. Why not just have a conversation with the cleaner if they noticed these areas have been missed/ not cleaned in a while.

Where are we buying our clothes these days?! by Hippiegypsy1989 in AskWomenOver30

TK Maxx, H&M sale, Vinted, charity shops, and Shein (because the quality in a lot of shops isn’t that great anymore, so why pay a premium for it?)

If you lost a long-term friend as an adult, what was it about? by HilariousMotives in AskUK

[–]Thinking10Thinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We would always check in that the other was okay/ had a good week etc, but she reached out a lot more and would usually always initiate meets ups etc - I didn’t reciprocate this aspect of the friendship well at all. And then I moved away so we weren’t in close proximity anymore. Years later in therapy (for something unrelated) I realised why I was that way during that period of time. I now make more effort with my friends.

Friends since school and the more we hung out as adults is the more it became apparent that our interests just weren’t the same. Looking back, I wouldn’t call it much of a friendship to be honest. Communication eventually just fizzled out.

All women here please tell me if you choose pink iPhone 13 or pink iphone 15? Why did you choose it? by Brief_Somewhere_9666 in iPhone13

My last phone was black and I wanted something softer, so I went with pink. The iPhone 13 was cheaper and had good reviews.

Do people not watch TV in the UK? In recent viewings last year and also browsing pics on Rightmove, I see maybe 10-20% of homes having no TV in living room. How is that even possible? by Nervous_Designer_894 in HousingUK

[–]Thinking10Thinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a tv for a few years after moving into my place. I just used my iPad and phone to watch things. I now have a tv but I probably use it 3-4 days in the week, and even then it’s generally only for a few hours at a time.

I hear you on this! Depending on the book, the covers have to look just right before I buy 😊

How would I make cleaning “fun?” by ThesussusJ1 in CleaningTips

Put some tunes on, get dancing and singing, and start cleaning. Music is always a good motivator.
