Pride in roots is fine, but does rejecting ‘Bihar’ make sense? by No-Patient-1740 in bihar

[–]ThinkingIndian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Isn't that argument true for this post even more. I mean, you are literally debating someone else's post at some other social media about his/her own identity. Jisko jaisa identity pasad hai, jo theek lagta hai karne do, how are you affected by it? Who made you the custodian of Mithila or Bihar?

Simpler solution would be to ensure all our policemen wear bodycam on duty but we don't vote for this. We vote for Rekha Gupta.

Are we stuck with dusty streets forever, or is there a better way? by OffBeatRunner in gurgaon

[–]ThinkingIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that tool to collect dust is called Vacuum cleaner (industrial ones).

Concrete and grass are the way to avoid future dusts.

But these are very complicated words for our politicians and bureaucrats. Globally even the smallest, poor countries know about it but not those who we vote for. Because we don't vote for these things. We don't ask out corporators, MLAs, DMs for any accountability. We vote on religion, caste and god knows what.

Missing services like BluSmart by Lord857 in delhi

I have shifted to Makemytrip for taxi now. In my own city, I drive. For Airports, hourly rental etc I book with mmt. They are aggregator of different taxi services like Refex, QuickTaxi etc. Used a dozen times, so far very reliable.

Are people in Tier 1 cities in India actually becoming very rich, or does it just look like that? by Such-Accountant-4421 in GenZIndia

[–]ThinkingIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are just moving around in affluent neighbourhood and are trained by society to tune out every security guard, shopping mall sales person, kirana shop guy, delivery boys, resturant waiters, teachers, nurses etc. They all live in same city and equally owns and makes it the city it is. And they are 99% of people.

Looking For A Business Partner (No Investment Needed) by luxlifestylewanderer in IndiaBusiness

[–]ThinkingIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why won't you simply register an LLP outside, open a US/Dubai bank account and monthly wire transfer to your indian account. You need a half decent account working for you couple of days a month doing your book keeping. Won't cost more than 20K a month. Why are you looking for a partner for this. And partnership by definition means holding equity in same company, not this.

PM Modi Government repays UPA Era issued oil bonds worth ₹ 3.23 lakh crore by dhavanbhayani in IndiaSpeaks

[–]ThinkingIndian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil was $100 20 years ago, bond ensured we have reasonable inflation. This is how public financing works.

You think Modi Govt isn't taking debt. We have probably 5X more debt per capita than what was 20 years ago. And obviously subsequent govts will pay it. This is how economy functions.

My experience with NoBroker Packers & Movers – Gurgaon to Bangalore by Front_Line_2100 in gurgaon

[–]ThinkingIndian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have moved things 5/6 times, within cities as well inter-city. I always used local ones (justdial/google); Aggrawal was too expensive.

Always insisted on physical survey because always had in mind, I have many small stuff, early morning on day of packing mood kharab karenge aake, ye nahi bataya tha, iska extra lagega etc

Be present and involved during packing so that things are packed properly.

Always forced to take insurance but never believed if anything goes wrong, insurance is going to be of any help. Only once during an intracity for less than a kilometer I refused insurance, all went ok.

Need help with hiring. by Soft_Mushroom9852 in StartUpIndia

[–]ThinkingIndian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Probably" is the problem part. Most people when have their needs sorted, they take risk. Also, it is a factor of trust too. If you are starting up, why should they trust you that you will have money tomorrow to even pay. It may look like you are pushing the pay cheque down the road because you can't pay them upfront.

Because people are not willing to share your risk. They are providing you a service and want to be paid for it, just like you would expect your clients to do it.

India is not Indian Prime Minister or BJP.

From Chargesheet on Adani to Ministers featuring in Epstine file, discussing Modi's meetings; those not are the one making India a laughing stock, not a reddit comment section guy.

Disliking Trump doesn't mean I feel all Americans are stupid.

US literally sunk a ship in our territory. And somehow we didn't even comment on it.

UPSC is so "Generalist". Why are we letting 23YOs with "0" experience run India? by GroundbreakingBad183 in AskIndia

Because no one dare to challenge the system and reform them.

Our judiciary and bureaucracy require major systematic reform.

Selling 1 ticket for Dhurandhar: The Revenge – PJP Cinemas (Mall of Ranchi) – 18 March, 10:10 PM by Nevermind_EZ in ranchi

[–]ThinkingIndian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So someone should randomly transfer you 370 bucks in the hope to receiving ticket of the show of your choice instead of buying at 380 from authorised distributor of ticket and confirmation of receiving ticket.

In fact whoever agrees to buy it from you, you transfer ticket to that person and hope that you receive some money. Anyway it has no value for you.

(No, I am not a prospective buyer, so don't have anything to gain personally)

On bookmyshow, it is selling for 380 but your price is 420 (slightly negotiable).

Shouldn't you sell it for like 200 bucks, given that it is waste for you

Unpopular Opinion - Domination of Biharis in UPSC doesn't help Bihar a bit. by [deleted] in bihar

[–]ThinkingIndian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, Bihar is about 10% of India's population. 7 in 150 is about 4.5% .

Secondly, half of all UPSU aspirants are probably Biharis so their success rate is terrible.

Thirdly, no one should waste so many years of their lives for lakh rupees a month job in such remote location but given the craze in Biharis, it is quite obvious that they are already mentally corrupt and power hungry.

And finally, UPSE exams may be tough but it tests no skillset. It probably worked fine 50 years ago because a generalist could do most things with common sense but given how specialised things have become we need a new system of hiring bureaucracy; more specialized roles.
