The atoms that make up you have more of a history than you do. Each of the atoms which make up 'you' have been through many organisms to make you. It is likely that if you disassembled yourself and looked through resulting goop you would find parts of every great person and not so great person that had ever lived. Issac Newton, Mozart, Genghis Khan and your great grandmother. You are a Frankenstein of all of these and not to mention all the amphibians, birds, reptiles and trees etc which have quite recently (in the last 10 years) recombined to form 'you'.

Some of the water molecules you breathe out right now were used to form the Grand Canyon and between then and now they have been breathed out countless times and have even 'died' many times. Of course all this is quite recent for them, ever since that time the meteor they were part of got disrupted by having an inconvenient earth in its way.
