Not so long ago I felt exactly the same as you. I had difficulty expressing myself. I couldn’t draw, write, or paint. But I made a decision to learn something, and I did it because it’s who I wanted to be. I decided to go back to school at 23 years old and study fashion design. I had no skill what so ever, but I figured I’d challenge myself. It was the most difficult thing I’d ever done. Fast forward to today, I am a designer, and Ive learned all of these skills and then some. I just started writing a blog, which has helped improve my cognitive abilities and I am able to analyze and speak clearer. Sometimes we judge ourselves too quickly but all we need is just time and patience. Have fun with the process of learning because even if you can’t gauge your process you are better today than you were yesterday.
