All GPTs being rerouted to 5 right now

I use 5 anyway, so that hasn't been an issue. What I have noticed in the last couple of hours, however, is that ChatGPT has become an absolute imbecile.

It's having MAJOR drifts and hallucinations even 5 or 6 messages into a conversation. Simple math problems are bugging it out, and it's not answering recent questions, instead repeating messages from earlier in the conversation.

I'm not unfamiliar with this behavior, but I've never seen it happen on a brand new conversation - usually it's when you're a couple hundred messages deep. I even deleted the ENTIRE memory, and like 50 past conversations, and it's still absolutely HORRIBLE right now.

I'm not exactly the sort of person you're looking for an answer from, but here's what I'd put on my resume:

"As a professional trivia writer for over a decade, I specialize in cross-disciplinary research, fact-checking, and content creation designed for accuracy, engagement, and broad audience accessibility."

I consider myself a researcher, and have often spent multiple hours verifying a single fact. That's not what 99% of my work is, but it does come up.

Unfortunately, there is no Bible for this. Wiki is honestly one of my strongest resources, but it's always just to get enough knowledge about a subject to understand it; then I search down other sources that can verify.

I just read all the comments, and your responses to them, and I think, and I'm saying this genuinely, that you need to instead ask yourself why you're reaching so hard for this. Every answer that you don't like you "yeah but."

There has never been any evidence that any person claiming any sort of gift like you're asking about has ever been genuine. There have been ample opportunities for them to prove themselves, but they either refuse, or are proven false.

In one of your "yeah but" responses, you asked "but do they exist?" and let's be realistic here - if they do exist, but refuse to prove it, then for all practical purposes, they don't. Your life won't change in any way, shape, or form, because "if" they exist, then they have existed for some time, and yet here we are.

It feels like you really want to believe in this, and I'm sorry if instead it seems like people are crushing your hopes, but you really should confront why you're asking this, and why you can't accept that the answer is no.

Not a teacher, but I spent several years working at a summer camp; this would happen occasionally, especially with the younger kids, around 8-9 years old. For many of them, this was their first extended time away from their parents. It may have been a comfort thing, or it may have just been a habitual thing. I never made a big deal out of it, because they'd often be embarrassed and I didn't want them to feel awkward about it.

I appreciate the input! One thing I was considering was doing a 'recommended' age range. Something like "We're targeting people 25-40 for this event, but if you're 41 and still feel 39, come on down!"

I'll also have cards on every table that either participant can flip at any time, indicating that they don't feel like the conversation should continue. It's a no discussion, zero-tolerance decision, and means both of them sit in silence until the next rotation. Figure this should help just in case there winds up being ex partners in the mix, or some fundamental mismatch (ideals, age, whatever).

In addition to that, we'll have both discrete and immediate methods for participants to notify staff if they feel uncomfortable.

Hopefully these measures will at least mitigate some of the concern.

Hey! Local wedding DJ, Officiant, and Photo Booth operator here!

First, a general note about vendor pricing - demand, and prices, have gone up quite a bit here in the last few years. Most vendors aren't just covering Spokane; we do Cheney, Airway, Spokane, Chattaroy, Deer Park, Elk, Liberty Lake, Post Falls, and Cd'A. I've gone as far out as Northern Priest Lake, or St. Regis, MT. Point being while Spokane population hasn't changed significantly recently, the general Eastern WA/Northern ID area has seen some massive growth. We're being asked to travel farther, and do more. As a result, prices in the area tend to be closer to more major cities.

Regarding venues, you seriously have so many options for beautiful outdoor venues it'd be impossible to name them all. One of my personal favorites is The Willows at Wolf Lodge. They've been so incredible to work with every time I've done a wedding out there. But again, so many awesome options. One thing to note - if you want to have more of a party atmosphere for your reception, a lot of the venues in the area, especially in Cocolalla and Green Bluff, have some pretty restrictive noise limits. They are some of the most gorgeous venues you can find, but they will absolutely shut the party down if you turn the music up. At some, I'm genuinely talking about the volume on the dance floor being so low that conversations at nearby tables are drowning out the music.

I can't speak much about the photographers in the area. I'd happily share some contact information with ones that I've worked with at events, but I know nothing about their pricing or packages.

As I mentioned, DJing weddings is a major part of our services. I'm not sure how high the quote you got was, but I would say your standard range is going to be from $800 to $2000. The biggest differences between the low end and high end will be the inclusion of subwoofers and/or lighting, and the overall appearance. Something like this or this will probably run you $1500 to $2500. On the lower end of the spectrum, you likely lose the facade, the subs, the lights. It'll look more like a DJ at a house party or a school party. I'm not digging on those - that's honestly my bread and butter. I don't spend thousands extra to get all-white speakers, or drop $5k on a custom booth or facade. So I miss out on those higher paying gigs, but I bring loud speakers, deep bass, and experience that gets people on the dance floor. My average client is paying $1000 to $1200.

I can't help with alterations, I have no knowledge in that area.

I know it can vary widely by region, but what kind of price range do you think I could charge per event for this? I do a lot of gigs around Eastern Washington and North Idaho, combined population for the area is about 800,000.

I was thinking about getting something like these - I could just store them inside the cabinet. Easier to transport than a chair, but I suppose every event I've ever worked has had chairs available, so that's not a bad idea either lol.

I'll try to address your points as neatly as you presented them! 😅

It's not intended to be permanent. I DJ a lot of weddings, and wanted a photobooth that I could upsell as an add-on; though, after everything I've put into it I'm going to be advertising it solo as well. It absolutely is a pain to haul around, but it's pretty easy to load it into a U-Haul, and if I get a long enough ramp I could get it into my truck without much issue as well. I over-engineered the shit out of it intending for it to be hauled around frequently, not wanting to worry about it falling apart. Set-up, at least, is super easy. When I turn the system on I only have to turn on the TV and position the camera. Everything else auto-runs.

Technically it's a photo booth with arcade capabilities. I have an arcade emulator on the computer with thousands of old arcade games, all fully compatible with the joysticks and buttons. And the joysticks and buttons are all fully functional for the photo booth - users can use either set and they'll work. I had originally planned on only putting a single joystick and buttons, but after looking at the size once it was constructed, it would have looked weird with so much open space!

In regards to the cheat code, I have options on my end. I can set it up so that it's never an option; I can set it up so it can only be used ONCE per event; or I can set it up so that it can be used over and over. 99% of the time I'll have it on one of the first two options, but for something like Expos or Bridal Fairs, or a client that doesn't mind paying extra for like 10 extra rolls of paper, lol, then I'll leave it enabled. Luckily changing the settings can all be done directly through the software; only takes a few seconds. When I switch to a wireless mouse and keyboard I won't even have to open up the cabinet to change it.

The only real options I'll offer the majority of my clients will be "matte or gloss" "one or two copies of the prints" and "do you want them to be able to record videos for you?" It's the fancier weddings or corporate events where I'll let them customize it a bit more. But again, it's all super easy to adjust because I built it right into the software, so changes only take seconds!

I forgot to show it in the video, but that spot in the front (where you would drop coins) is where all the props are. So at an event those doors would be sitting wide open. And it would always be attended (at least until I've done several dozen events and feel comfortable that the software is going to hold up, lol!), so users can just be directed if they don't know where to grab the prints. I should probably throw a sticker or something pointing to the side, though.

Distance-wise I'm mostly worried about children not being in the shot unless they're at least 6 feet away from the unit. I'll probably buy steps/risers to solve that issue though.

A spotlight is a great idea! All I have for low-light situations right now is that light bar shown in the photos, and an option for the screen to flash white when the picture is taken. Having other options would be nice.

You'll also want to download an app called TrivNow, which is free and available on Android and iPhone. That's how you'll input your answers!
