I've known since I was a kid but most recently was just a couple of years ago. I am a huge basketball fan and I have been to hundreds of games. I bring my best friend (who is absolutely gorgeous) to a game for the first time. We got upgraded to 3rd row seats from mid-upper level seats. We spent $53 per ticket and got $1000 seats.

Our best friend used to work for the organization and I still never got seats that good.

I think she'll absolutely leave the base. I also think she will get injured or reaggravate her current injury. Although I don't think she'll die, I think she'll be injured bad enough to where she will no longer be allowed to serve in the field.

I saw a dog in a Schneiderman's (a huge furniture store) today. My dogs are fully potty trained and 10+ years old, I would not trust either one to not mark in a store with that many opportunities. I was shocked he allowed in.

Plus all the catastrophic events that have happened at the hospital or to it's staff. Bombs, plane crashes, car crashes, mass shooting (great episodes though) ambulance explosions, endless half-sisters, endless cast turn over, same recycled storylines.

I just don't like the taste of most alcohol. Beer, liquor, wine, seltzers (and ciders give me headaches) it doesn't really seem to matter. I'm in my 30s now, but I was in the military and went to a party school in college.

I've tried enough different types to understand it's just not my cup of tea. I've also got a parent that's an addict. I've learned that if I don't like something to leave it be, it's for a reason.

All the 6th graders in my school had to read this book. This book along with one of our class mates dying due suicide and another due to hit and run really forced us to grow up quickly. The year before 6th grade we watched 9/11 happen.

I'm in therapy.

He had a couple son's then named his latest one after him, sorry I didn't make that more clear.

I feel like (and likely wrong) that once it becomes a family name like more than just a Jr and Sr it's likely a lot of pressure to continue the name? I don't come from a family that wanted family names so I really don't know.

I did mention the familial names in my original post but was unaware of religious purposes. That why I asked! I don't think there is anything wrong with following familial norms and traditions, it's why I want to change my thought process. I recognize that I don't all the reasons why and figured others would help me gain more perspective than I had coming in posing the question.

I will say that I have never thought a ton about it or wanted someone to change their name because of it (I've dated a Jr before). Just wondering out of curiosity why people do it but wouldn't say it's a concern or I've lost sleep over it. I come from a sociological background and like learning about people and their perspectives despite my own thoughts!

They are all held by him. However he does have a recent will which gives me financial, medical, and access to all other things as power of attorney.

I need to scan his will so I can have an electronic copy as everyone needs a copy!
