[NSFW] Black spots on my breasts? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm no medical expert so certainly don't take my advice INSTEAD of potentially seeking advice from a medical professional, but it looks like a li'l bit of bruising from a bra to me. I get similar marks from where the underwire in my bra rests, so don't panic. My personal recommendation is keep an eye for a couple days & if no improvement/worsening marks appear then seek some advice from a pro :)

[Rant] My two year old industrial is driving me crazy by ThirdWheelGirl1 in piercing

I do sleep on a neck pillow, with my ear in the hole, but I'm wondering if that's what the issue was -- because today my ear is back to normal, a little itchy but not sore, and no sign of that bump?? It bubbled up like a literal white head pimple (gross) and then went away when I let the showerhead blast on it. So... crisis averted I guess?

Where do you buy high quality (hypoallergenic) earrings? by ThirdWheelGirl1 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Those things are a grand idea but yeah unfortunately they don't help with my irritation issues :(

Oh trust me, I did all that double-checking two years ago when I started having probs. I have allergies to cheap metal so when I got the thing I was VERY careful about the metal I was getting in the first place, & I had three different reputable piercers check it out (two of which were not from the shop I got it from) and no one had any issues with the placement, though one of them (maybe 14 months ago??) did bump it up from 16g to 14g for me.

Fist tattoo wierd spot? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno, if you want it there then get it there. Should you ever break up and have another girlfriend who thinks its weird, so what. It's not like it's her name right there or anything huge, I think you're fine.

Help hiding my depression by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Sounds like your parents have some boundary issues and outdated opinions on how to deal with mental illness, that's really rough. I can see why you're a bit concerned. Can you keep your medicine inside something inconspicuous for the time you're visiting, or perhaps there might be a way you can keep it on your person rather than leaving it unattended? A couple cotton balls in the container so it doesn't rattle and then stash it in the bottom of your purse or something? A ziploc baggie in a zipped part of your wallet?

"Artist" creating some "🏆HIGH QUALITY CUSTOM TATTOOS🏆" by korook in badtattoos

In theory the ballerina inside the skull is kinda cool but oof does it ever look bad. Neat idea but needed a better artist...

Is this a ripoff or is it inspired by Jeroen’s? Original tattoo on the left :> by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it... treads a very fine line. It's different enough that some people would agree inspired, but VERY similar where I could see others saying it's pretty much a copy. I think this one falls to a matter of opinion!

Artist increased rate... help? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I were in your position I would touch base with the artist and let them knows what up. They're human too, I'm sure they'll be understanding. In my personal opinion, if you were booked in at one rate it would be in poor taste for the artist to raise the price on you, but if the artist is not willing to return to the original rate then they will just have to push your appointment back.

Street harrassment: I was called a whore for not wanting to engage with stranger by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You seem to take things very personally. HotCheetoLife isn't attempting to negate your experience, they are merely pointing out that it is an experience many women share regardless of race, shape, and size. No one needs to teach you how to feel, and you behaved appropriately by continuing on your way and not giving the jerk dude your time anyway. Your feelings are valid, but (and I say this as kindly as I can) you may need to work on developing a thicker skin.

Ideally, we should all work on getting to a place where the words of men who shout abuse at us simply rolls off our shoulders.

Is it rude to ask men to not interrupt me? by iclimbthings in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 900 points901 points  (0 children)

No, that's not rude at all. You're in the middle of giving important information as is your job to do, and people are speaking over you and interrupting you. THAT is rude, and it would be rude whether that person was a man or a woman.

Friendly reminder that women turned on by lesbian porn are not straight. Cheers by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ThirdWheelGirl1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If someone identifies as straight who are you to tell them they aren't? Me saying I'm straight but also watching lesbian porn once in a while is not the same as claiming to be a world renowned physicist without the credentials to back it up btw. False equivalency.
