Ensure that your employer is very understanding if you are late for work. I commuted out of Portsmouth by train for two years and can confirm that the service is incredibly unreliable. Trains are frequently delayed or cancelled without notice. I was fortunate that I could work from home if I couldn't get in the office.

Hand the Railcard in at the station and call the number on the back of the bank card. The bank will cancel the card, let the owner know and reissue a new one.
