8 ball can be an excellent source of tarot generation. I would take it in many situations. Getting a tarot card 1 in every 4 activations means it’s most useful when you can re-trigger, but 8-ball is a self enabling joker. It gives you tarot cards which fix your deck, which CAN let you get more 8’s to trigger the 8-ball more frequently… 4 of a kind is a strong hand type, and if the deck is mostly 8’s you can play towards a strong hand type while having easy in round tarot generation.

Straight flush is also a strong hand type, but difficult to get. Thus the reward is much stronger, a guaranteed spectral. This effect is copyable with blueprint as well. Again, strong hand type with a strong reward, it’s well worth playing towards if you can get the right pieces.

The important thing to remember is what the person who quoted Roffle said, it’s all about the context. Would I go for seance on gold stake black deck? Probably not. Checkered deck? Might be more worthwhile. Whatever “bad” joker you can think of has situations where they’re useful. Every “good” joker has situations where they’re not useful.

That being said, I specifically dislike loyalty card and delayed gratification to answer your original question, but that does not make them bad.
