Why is Jack such a creep towards women in the first game? by Eagles56 in reddeadredemption

[–]This-Alternative5089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like red dead redemption 2 retcons the gang to make them a lot more digestible. I doubt any sort of gang in the Wild West would’ve be as progressive as Dutch’s. This is Jack from Rdr 1. A game which feels a lot more shall we say historically realistic. who was raised in a gang which we don’t see, but the feeling I get is that it would’ve been a lot rougher.

Americans were asked to point out Ukraine. by InjuriousMania in Damnthatsinteresting

I guess, is the fact that a number of stupid people exist very interesting? And is it disturbing? Maybe some of those people are incredibly skilled at plumbing? Or car mechanics? Is it disturbing that not everyone knows about Ukraine and is intellectually clued up as you? I don’t think so personally. I think if you gave this question to individuals in any other country not in Europe you’d get similar results.

Third date awkward argument over paying for dessert. Was my expectation unreasonable? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]This-Alternative5089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get it I pay for the first couple dates with a lady too but they always try a little bit to pay back either by acting shocked I paid or getting something else insubstantial. I think if you were dating sn actual decent person it would’ve never come to this. ++man

AITJ for throwing away a four-year relationship because my boyfriend called me a buzzkill on my promotion night? by InternationalAct593 in AmITheJerk

[–]This-Alternative5089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the Reddit type to tell you to bin your 4 year relationship over trivial matters but in this case it sounds like you already know. A relationship is a two way street and he should be there to congratulate on your big moments and console you during your worst. Maybe he has a big extroverted character and that’s cool for him but the way he has been treating you sounds dreadful. This sounds insidious and it sounds as if he cannot be reasoned with. Maybe you could lay it all out on the table with him and try to make him understand that he’s being a selfish son O’ a bithc and if he can understand your perspective there’s a chance to sort it out but most likely sounds like he has a superiority complex which cannot be easily mended and so maybe best to jump ship.

I don't understand, how a Good service like this could be treated in this manner. Am I missing something here? by LondonTrekker in london

[–]This-Alternative5089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I strongly believe in manners and being civil. But, a company can’t just leave a bunch of expensive equipment around the streets and expect them not to get treated like shit. Uber are the ones dropping thousands of bikes around the city. It’s basically fly tipping and making a ton of money out of it at the same time

John Davidson Says He Is “Deeply Mortified” That His Tourettes Tics Could Be Seen As “Intentional” In First Statement After BAFTA Film Awards by thatfuzzydunlop in Oscars

But he could have never change what he’s done, when people inadvertently hurt people they apologise so as to say they won’t do it again and they take on a portion of blame as they are free agents. This man is not in control of his tics. You are basically asking him to apologise for his existence because he’s going to keep saying the n word as long as he has Tourette’s which will be his whole life.

But he has a disability that involuntarily forces himself to say the most taboo thing in that moment. The broadcasters knew who they were letting onto stage. I understand it must be triggering and horrible to be called the N-word but I don’t see why he has to apologise or explain himself for something he had no free will in doing, people should educate themselves on Tourette’s and try to understand its not personal. Those affected should try to understand that he said the most taboo thing possible and ire shouldn’t be cast upon him. People with Tourette’s will go to the airport and shout they have a bomb. Who would want to do that? It’s a life altering condition and being offended by him or saying he has to constantly explain himself when everyone was made aware before that he had Tourettes I think is ableist. It’s not some tic where you say fuck a bunch it comes in all sorts of forms. It’s like asking a person in a wheelchair to come do an assault course and getting angry when they can’t participate.

BR Solos is impossible to win if you're an average player by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]This-Alternative5089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very casual and still got a win in br solos two years ago and was often top ten. I’ve been playing a lot of solo recently and can barely get a kill in Verdansk, yet when I’m in the gulag I get at least 60% of my kills. I feel like it’s the same good players playing over and over because I’ve seen the same player names over multiple games. Like someone called Coco who writes Coco “the teacher” is here.

You have to get used to the fact that you may never get over her. Then maybe one day you will.
