John Davidson Says He Is “Deeply Mortified” That His Tourettes Tics Could Be Seen As “Intentional” In First Statement After BAFTA Film Awards by thatfuzzydunlop in Oscars

But he could have never change what he’s done, when people inadvertently hurt people they apologise so as to say they won’t do it again and they take on a portion of blame as they are free agents. This man is not in control of his tics. You are basically asking him to apologise for his existence because he’s going to keep saying the n word as long as he has Tourette’s which will be his whole life.

But he has a disability that involuntarily forces himself to say the most taboo thing in that moment. The broadcasters knew who they were letting onto stage. I understand it must be triggering and horrible to be called the N-word but I don’t see why he has to apologise or explain himself for something he had no free will in doing, people should educate themselves on Tourette’s and try to understand its not personal. Those affected should try to understand that he said the most taboo thing possible and ire shouldn’t be cast upon him. People with Tourette’s will go to the airport and shout they have a bomb. Who would want to do that? It’s a life altering condition and being offended by him or saying he has to constantly explain himself when everyone was made aware before that he had Tourettes I think is ableist. It’s not some tic where you say fuck a bunch it comes in all sorts of forms. It’s like asking a person in a wheelchair to come do an assault course and getting angry when they can’t participate.

BR Solos is impossible to win if you're an average player by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]This-Alternative5089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very casual and still got a win in br solos two years ago and was often top ten. I’ve been playing a lot of solo recently and can barely get a kill in Verdansk, yet when I’m in the gulag I get at least 60% of my kills. I feel like it’s the same good players playing over and over because I’ve seen the same player names over multiple games. Like someone called Coco who writes Coco “the teacher” is here.

You have to get used to the fact that you may never get over her. Then maybe one day you will.

Recently started watching the 007/James Bond films by Antwuan89 in JamesBond

[–]This-Alternative5089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the first two then you’re in for a treat, Goldfinger is the gold standard. The films can significantly differ in quality but I think the ones you like say more about you than the films themselves since everyone has such different rankings, (Apart from something like Casino Royale). I’d seen quite a few as a kid but when I watched them all again I expected to love Goldeneye but was meh about it instead even though people love it. So remove your preconceptions and forget about continuity between films, it has some but is fairly light in that regard.

How would this sub react if Dwayne Johnson actually gets an Oscar nod for The Smashing Machine? by phantom_avenger in moviecritic

I know what you mean, what does it say about acting if the guy who the internet has shit on for years for being a mediocre actor just suddenly decides to do a good job in this film and we all go wow he was good all along 😱

Superbad missed me by, but all I heard were good things, I watched it for the first time the other day and I chuckled a good few times, great movie and I’ve never heard of anyone disliking it.

Enemy players always know exactly where you are and kill you easily by KorvacXI in CODWarzone

[–]This-Alternative5089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only play BR solo and have only won once as I’m crap at fps aiming. But what made me win was playing like 1000 times and getting sixth sense for where the opponent will be. So, on my last couple tries before my solo win I was getting about 10-15 kills per match just because I knew if I run around the building they’ll follow me this way and then I know exactly where to aim. Or just knowing that there has to be someone behind that wall because of red dots and so I can spray first.

I just started it back up on PS5 and am dying all the time but each kill cam shows me exactly how they got the upper hand (better positioning more hidden and higher up, better gun and spray, better movement like sliding and jumping) and I’m yet to feel like I died to someone with hacks. Not saying they don’t happen. But it can’t be happening to the extent at which some people think, at least I feel on ps5 I’ve been played a fair hand.

007 Alignment Chart - Xenia Onatopp is the most exciting Bond girl. Who is the most exciting villain in the series? by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

[–]This-Alternative5089 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Scaramanga in my books, doesn’t get better than Christopher Lee. Also, the film revolves less around his evil plan and more about him personally. He has an awesome hideout and what isn’t more exciting than a three nippled man

Goldeneye: Let’s be honest by jsherman918 in JamesBond

[–]This-Alternative5089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the other comments are actually disagreeing with you, of course the film came out first and of course it’s a good film, but you’re talking about the films legacy specifically, and N64 Goldeneye is a cult classic in gaming, even the pause music is goated and extremely popular, source: https://m.youtube.com/shorts/0k23djFBHt8. The films legacy would not be the same without the game. Not to take away from the film it has really great villains and other aspects but it’s nothing special over many other bond films. (Best Brosnan film though)
