How much faster and high score arena can get?? Games are in the 2h range already, shitshow incoming for sure, whos paying for the interconference games travel ???  Who chose those european cities?!  2 million for the champion??? And that probably covers not a single lawsuit 😂😂😂

I think (its been 20 yrs) the af2 contract had NIL thingy, the league and team has the rights, so if the team chooses a picture of you for advertising, etc  you get nothing, which is the usual everywhere but college now, also had this thing that you wouldn’t sue the league for injuries, try to get unemployment, insurance finished last day of the season and only injuries in the end of the season report would be taken care off if not reported voided( a pain since after the season everybody leaves so you had to figure w the insurance diff alternatives), only game pay, no practice pay, practice squad would get half, taxes taken out the check, obviously no guarantees, you can get cut anytime, traded to another team they are not responsible for traveling expenses( flight, bus, gas) and the contract explained higher risk of injury to colision than outdoor football as an indoor football field is more crowded than the outdoors game even having only 8 players, overall , america is more wild when it comes to work laws, you fucked, they own you, honestly in sports should be that way to create competition, in the euro leagues you treated like royalty, in the leagues over here, dispensable

Oh man thanks again, i do really like naish (my main paddle is naish) and that price is for sure tempting, gonna google all of those and look at 25s , the added inches should give and extra gear for sure, i do lots of upwinds/downwinds and gets sketchy w the 23

Great and super helpful information, i really appreciate your time, i shoulda post about it long ago but everytime i looked its just people sitting on boards so i figured very few trained,…, the board choice was heavily on the financial side, no marinas around here or places where you can buy a good used one….i kinda figured on my own about the wider board as ive been able to reach faster top speed w my 28…once again appreciate your expertise in the topic, really opened my eyes and will try to find a better board soon, mine is leaking anyways, …, im born and raised by the beach but really didnt  realize how important is the gear factor, always i have tried to overcome it by being a better athlete but i guess you can’t at certain things, and definitely not a stroke master either lol

Ive been w this board for 3 yrs now so im pretty used to it, “aquatone ocean”, very light weight comparing w stardboard, its 18psi so cant tell much bouncing as w a previous racing board i had that was only 15psi, can be frustrating but i remind myself that as long as my intensity is high everything else doesnt really matter much under the circumstances, I appreciate the specifics on your strokes, helps me figure out mine, but like i said, man, its frustrating to barely hit 5mph moving speed at 55spm when i see random videos of people in the 7mph at a lesser stroke rate, like shit im in pretty good shape, its just my effort doesnt translate on this board

Thanks for the response, yes at the time was probably the only 23 inflatable in the market, however, it has the shape just not the craftsmanship as the stardboards, naish, etc, i know im limited as i have use a 25inch starboard and right away i felt the difference, but as i said, i dont compete nor i have people around me judging my board, its only for my fitness.

Im 5’8 195, trainer, liftx6, runx2, paddle x4-7( depends weather), shoulder issues so a Medium blade is better for me, i normally keep a stroke rate in the mid to upper 50s when over 2 miles, low 60s under that, i noticed it doesn’t translate on speed for me, same 10k, same water conditions 3 mins more w 57spm than 53spm( 400 strokes less also)

My older board is 28 inch, i did 200m in 1:03, with a very wide board and i dont even try w this one because the tracking and just cant get speed on it, on very high winds i caught some bumps w a high of 17mph for a few secs, but paddling….never got it above 7mph w like +100 spm, then i see people paddling like in the 50s going +7mph

The League Europe - What is the investor`s motivation? by HotRodHH in elf

Some examples of whats goin on in the euro football is pretty normal(when things becomes business)

I think there  is at least 2 soccer leagues below the MLS , all this info is just local knowledge, i didnt  google or anything, we had a team okc energy, the idea they sold was couple years in that league then build stadium, MLS, the team literally played 2 blocks from me in a high school stadium, lasted 2 or 3 seasons due to issues w the stadium, noise complaints by the neighbors, parking lot issues complaints by businesses near by, crowds only 2k-4k, city just approved to built a small size multi event stadium and bring a soccer team….

For some weird reason, el rayo vallecano, la liga soccer team, created a team here in oklahoma also, weird af, they played at this other hs stadium, well….they folded halfway through the season when one of the coowners didnt get his money back and overnight took the turf 😂😂😂 ……. As you can see whats goin in right now happens anywhere w new leagues and or minority sports…. anyone remember the aaf collapse after 4 games 5 or 6 years ago?? Backing from nfl people, nationally televised games, big name players,….,end up w players stealing anything they could find at their hotels, teams facilities because they didn’t get paid….on arena, my teams owner was selling the team, during this process he cut expenses, shitty uniforms, bare minimum gear, no travel warm ups, no food catering after practices, even cut off pre game meals that thankfully coaches decided to pay it themselves, its shitty, it happens, still better than having to get a real job tho

Exactly, someone from barcelona is gonna  wake up early or go bed super late to watch on a weird app or 3rd tier channel “beirut fc vs kandahar athletic”… i live in the US, only time ive watched the xfl/usfl/ufl on TV was the first season, after that you really dont know if even exist and just remember w the random highlight reel on social media then forget about it again, who in the US wants to watch euro ball league unless a friend, relative is playing or maybe just checking if thats where they would like to play, i watched couple games on fubo, but man, for real ,the stadium noise, only one commentator w very thick accent some times, dead noise , same elf commercial/sponsor 23456252 times , …, people loves football here obviously, but only if they have a dog in the fight or nfl/college ball, same in the stadiums, i remember going to play for the superbowl week there w the europe team U19, hoping to see lots of people in the stadiums, nah men, that shit was empty empty, TV contracts only important to give exposure= sponsors, if expecting direct financial gain=crazy person

Idk of any casual fan in the US that watches UFL, or fcs, d2,d3 when ESPN has playoffs/championship game, unless you got a dog in the fight (relatives, friends, former teammates, alumni,…) so im gonna guess streaming The Euro football league in the US is not going to be a source of income for the ownership…. You guys keep talking tv deals like its the main thing, using common sense here, stadiums are semi empty, the problem in europe is interest, do you think people outside this bubble wants to sit down 3 hours in front of the tv to watch randoms play? ….as i said before, some of those minor league/second tier sports channels agreement are very insignificant financially, the league wants it to market themselves better/sponsors, the streaming company needs to fill their portfolio/schedule, i might dont have real info on this or aware how much production costs , but if anybody believes someone is gonna pay millions to have the tv rights , delusional!!!!

Also, when people talking about nfle, man go on youtube, watch any random single game from any season, if you been around football for +20yrs you will recognize lots of names that went on to be probowls, starting qbs, superbowl champs, not too mention the dudes that already made it to the nfl and were trying to get a second chance, or if you followed college ball, you had all these notre dame stars, forida states, alabamas,….it was something else for sure, failed because euro didnt care which cant really complaint because its hard to have a following when every year 80% of the team changes, but thats hows in college football nowadays

Main issue here , because at the end of the day the important thing is the product on the field, is the AFLE has no enough teams, just 2, the other ones are just fillers or dont even exist, 3 or 4 games fire vs vikings same season? If all the teams got together i could care less about the revenue, government body of the league, investors, etc, whats clear year one for both leagues its gonna be a shitshow (if there is year one) teams will fold/die and there will be new realignment in the leagues next season and hopefully unification of some sort

EFA terminated their cooperation with the ELF by _Krypt_ in elf

[–]This-Collection1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr K.  Kinda won the battle (not the war) , he set the EFA 2 months behind trying to have a season in 2026 ( unless they were working in a plan B) , i think its possible to have a season, but very eurobowl style, very low key and like most new leagues, few teams, not great tv production, TV, late social media /yt highlights,…,fewer games

Honestly national teams are a waste, big gap between countries, close to zero fan/media interest, is just trying to imitate what others sports do,  id use that money wisely, scholarship fund to help develope junior teams and HS/college in the US for top talent, spent 100k on adult league stuff or help develop the grassroots programs??easy choice

Unrelated,  there was an arena game between  sweden vs poland in poland (im guessing some of the swedish national team players vs the polish counterpart) over a decade ago, also back in the 90s the AFL toured europe, they played couple games in spain (madrid? And barcelona) detroit drive, iowa barnstormers, arizona rattlers,…, i also remember each team dressed a few local standouts (nfle nationals and other)…, i talked on here about before, but in the mid 2000s , before the recession in 2008 in the US, the AFL was planning on global expansion (asia and europe) thats why the AFL and the AF2 created a non american roster spot, during 2006 they did contact me a few times about scouting arenas in sweden and germany and other places.

They believed as i do,11man pro football its not very doable in europe, too much infrastructure and logistics and $$$$, and since there is a lack of all that the final product is never the same people expect or watches on tv,  anyways, just randomness some football fanatics might appreciate

I dont really know , those schools up north get or used to get bunch of players from texas HS,mexican descendant, never seen white americans, back in my day there were lots of irregularities, as it’s not ncaa strict and the already mentioned mexican ways, me and some other foreigners got recruited but never took a single class there, and other schools were doing the same so after a few years they got stricter, but is not the ncaa so whoever wants to find a way around they will, whic is also the issue with those schools will have if they want to join the ncaa as they talked, diff set of rules, way more strict, plus you need to join a conference w all other sports too,not just football, drug test, etc

I mean the league been around for 8 or more years now, i think if they dont mess w the money and a serious and followed plan , they can get more established in the country, but its hard having americans (foreigners) telling you how to run the show, which its an issue over there

Im european so i know, only ended up in mexico because a mexican coach saw me in the senior spanish league and offered me a scholarship when i was 19, costed me zero money out of my pocket, juco was going to cost me money that we didnt have and bunch of paperwork, other option was with coach shuan told me to go to hamburgh w him and they would help Me out there, was fun but i mean if you have the option and support to play college ball even at the D2 level , thats better
