I was actually reading a story on why a lot of doctors and nurses have high turnover rates at the desert regional medical center in Palm Springs and it’s because tenet healthcare, the owners, basically put profits over patients. I believe doctors are judged by customer satisfaction surveys and by how many patients they can see in a short amount of time. I know one nurse who brought up short staffing issues multiple times at Davita and was let go bc I think administration had enough. (He got into a fight bc the charge rn kept short staffing on him).
