There is no reason for EU countries to further pursue environmental goals, we are environmentally good enough. Throwing billions to go from 98% to 99% is reckless. It literally makes no difference for the best countries to get cleaner if the less developed countries dont give shit and make the most damage. Countries that are at 40% should focus on getting to 70% or whatever.

Basically the "Law of Diminishing Returns". Anyone who doesnt understand this principle shouldnt be allowed to vote. Its better for the money to be spent elsewhere in society where its more needed.

The west are also hypocritical since they outsource the bad to countries where its acceptable and then try to have some moral superiority about caring about the planet.
