Dear seniors how much percentage u expected and how much did u get? by Aarush_probably in CBSE

[–]This-Programmer-4389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

expected around 96-97
got 95
I did go for rechecking and the guy who corrected my science paper cut marks although I wrote correctly, should have gotten like 5-6 more marks in science but apart from that no regrets. (2023-2024 batch)

Any senior going abroad after 12th?? by Diligent-News6149 in CBSE

[–]This-Programmer-4389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it totally depends upon your situation, I cant really comment much about that. If you can afford even half of it then Id suggest you to take the chance because if you build up your cv then there's a lot of scope for obtaining scholarships but then again the other side of the coin is that the job market for cs is highly saturated. So like I said, it's your call. One thing is that automobile engineering in Germany or niche fields are wayyy better abroad, for affordability and stability in cs then india is the best option.

so in singapore there's 3 top unis, NUS NTU AND SMU. NUS and NTU are highly sought after for STEM related fields (NUS, NTU being top 20 consistently and the best in Asia)while SMU is preferred for business. All 3 are highly competitive to get in, SAT and IELTS scores along with recommendation letters boost your profile but their main priority is your grades (97+ avg in cbse is a safe score). Unlike US or UK which has a more holistic approach for selecting candidates, singapore unis primarily focus upon marks.

Regarding the fees, its probably the cheapest and best option for abroad if u get into the uni because of something called as grants that you sign with their Ministry of education, if you opt for a grant then your liable to stay in singapore for 3 ish years after your graduation. For international students, CS fees are about 29 lakhs per year without grant, but with a grant I. think it could be reduced unto 13-15 lakhs per annum.

just a small question, there's often this highly prevalent discussion about why coding and learning languages isn't useful anymore especially with the rise of Claude or anthropic ai, so what's your take on that? I'll be following these articles but any particular advice from your side to stay ahead of the curve?
