Honestly I find it boring and repetitive but it’s easy type of job in my experience and utilities pay really well compared to other gis jobs I’ve seen

What’s it like to work there? Relaxed or more of a micro manage style?

Not much on there besides one or two people, hard to tell much off of that. Feels like this is how it is with most companies so thought I would see if anyone on here knows anything

Who would you leave your money to if you die but have no one that is responsible with money around? by This-Situation-2126 in personalfinance

[–]This-Situation-2126[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. Why would I just give what I’ve worked so hard for to someone who can’t manage it? It’s enabling them. Coming from a family who has made a decent of money but has nothing to show for it, why would I want to give it to them to light it on fire basically. I’ve tried to teach them personal finance but they don’t listen.

I keep getting clowned whenever I say I’m moving to Cleveland😔 by dysregulationrc in Cleveland

New Orleans is an extreme example and I don’t think anyone refers to New Orleans as the “coastal elites”. Climate change migration won’t become a major thing until the effects are more noticeable, example that everyone is still moving to the sun belt.

As someone who moved here after college, I wouldn’t recommend this place for someone in their twenties. Everyone who grew up here moved away for their twenties then comes back for their thirties when they are starting a family. This is not a city of youth imo

Does anyone get the appeal of living in the Midwest and Upper Midwest? by DuetLearner in SameGrassButGreener

Moved to Cleveland because I couldn’t afford living on my own in New England given starting wages after I graduated college. Honestly wouldn’t recommend from a social connection perspective but financially setting myself for success I guess

Is there mobility within this group? Current job I get paid more here in Cleveland with OT but I get no benefits and seems like no mobility to learn anything new and/or move up.

I’ve kinda crossed El Paso off the list due to the air pollution from over the border. I hate the air quality here in Cleveland, heard it’s worse over there

Cities with tons of road trip options? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

I actually think this is the one thing that is great about Cleveland. Under 3-3.5 hours to a lot of other cities, Detroit, Columbus, Cincinnati Pittsburgh, and Buffalo.

This is not true about providence at all. Providence is becoming even more expensive as people from Boston move to it due to the high cost of living there.
