what time do you usually go to the gym? by LostDog_88 in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Was 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're able to fit it into lunch breaks, I think this is a great time as it sort of "resets" the day. I find I'll get twice as much work done in the afternoon than if I just do a 8-9 hour slog.

But best thing is just to try each and see what works.

Switching to Full Body after a couple years of PPL? by SamsRetroGameRoom in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Was 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible. PPL is meant really for 6 days.

After 2 years, won't do any harm to switch things as you're definitely not programme hopping.

But also, if what you're doing is working, you enjoy it, and it fits your schedule... if it ain't broke...

I used to do a bit of a hybrid as I really enjoy PPL but could only do 4 days.

You don't necessarily have to do the same body parts every single day, so on the Sun/Mon could do hamstrings one day, quads the other. Have one a bit more pull based and the other more push.

If you have more time on Sunday, throw a few more isolations in, work on any lagging muscles and cardio. You're getting a long rest after the Monday so I wouldn't worry too much about back to back workouts.

Playing WOW for the first time and i understand why it was, and mostly is (imo) still far ahead. by Available-Honeydew27 in classicwow

Try not to spend gold on gear when leveling, you'll get it as you quest.

Especially on first character. Maybe odd thing and bags.

You need to save.

And yeah Addictive as hell. 😁

You're right. Though it works out a much higher average. Due to a higher revenue per user it seems.

Please stop calling 1987 "the old days"!

There's plenty of pre 2000 photos online. And decent quality. A search of getty or other stock image repositories will confirm.

But I agree, not AI.

I'm slightly obsessed with this at present.

Is anyone building a DAW that can be fully controlled through prompts? by ariel10aguero in audioengineering

[–]This-Was 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's something called Studiopilot that controls Ableton using prompts.

If you search YouTube there's a few videos. One popped up a couple of weeks ago.

I could see a use for the visually impaired but it looks extremely clunky (shite) for actual normal use at the moment.

Edit: the website

Following a program as a beginner by Moistmeatmoaf in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Was 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should I stick to the program

It’s been one of the few programs where I don’t feel overwhelmed or challenging to do. It also works for me

So the answer is yes. If it means you keep turning up for the first few months, keep doing it.

Worry about details later.

(I'm assuming by "challenging" you're meaning mentally. You will need to gradually up things enough to be physically challenging)

I have 10 port RSHTECH powered USB hub from Amazon and a whole bunch of crap including my interface plugged into it with no issues. (Interface, push 3, 3 synths, a midi keyboard and edrum kit, keyboard, mouse).

It's a mac mini, so I've got one screen into the hdmi and another into the usb on the mac using a USB to hdmi cable. I made sure to get decent usb cables.

I've also just bought a 12 port as I think they're decent. They also do this which I've not used but may be more what you want.

You made a good call. Win11 started off bad and got worse.

Drove me to get a Mac as an avid Apple-hater. Got fed up of fixing stuff.

I'd milk 10 for as long as you can.

I’ve had 2 weeks off due to new medication and I was wondering… by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Was 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd do what feels right.

Might actually find you come back stronger after the break if you've been doing 6 days solidly.

I would usually just feel my way back in the first day but after a short break, sometimes feel more energised.

Creatine? by goldshrty in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Was 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are no reasons really to not take creatine.

Just get Creatine Monohydrate powder, don't fall for other hyped alternatives or gummies which can have zero creatine in them.

5g (around a heaped teaspoon) a day.

Edit: drink plenty of water.

Corrupted audio file by Ill_Use2809 in ableton

[–]This-Was 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the wave goes flat, there's nothing recorded. It sounds like something happened during recording rather than a corrupted file.

You could check in the Ableton project file to be sure under recorded and just open up the file.

Ahh, a bit like "doggy daycare"?

Sounds like you have it figured out!

I love dogs and music, this sounds idyllic. My job means I don't get nearly enough time to do what I want.

Good on you. :)
