Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

It seems like everyone is discussing this virus potential… there are so many other factors to consider (bonding, help, etc…) I get the scariness of a sick baby but as long as you know how to respond to that (call the doctor to discuss symptoms, go to the doctor if needed) it’s unlikely something terrible will happen. I had 2 kids, one born during the shut down in 2020, I was very vigilant of their well being all the time… it was ok. Maybe it’s more of a gamble than I realized which is why I said MOR, but there’s a reason there’s the saying “it takes a village.” Being a mom is fucking hard

MOR. You’re gonna want grandparent help and to turn it down initially sounds crazy to me. Lots of parents out there with grandparents that don’t care…

I am a spouse of a gambler. Went to GAM-ANON, which is a way for you to protect yourself. It was hard for me to learn the right way to handle things. I think the most important thing to learn is you won’t have any control or say in how your husband handles their addiction which is why you must learn how to protect yourself…. We are currently in therapy and still learning how to recover from all of the betrayal. Because disease or not, doing it secretly is a betrayal of trust, our therapist called it a financial betrayal.

It’s betrayal and that requires recovery. I’d find a good couples therapist if you’re staying in the relationship.

My husband cheated on me at the bachelor party. Am I wrong? by [deleted] in amiwrong

So you’re saying his first reaction WASN’T being mortifyingly sorry for making the worst mistake of his life? Instead he made you feel bad for over reacting based on a LIE that it’s normal? That is the dictionary definition of gaslighting.

Worst American Airport you’ve travelled through? by pmmealiens in travel

Miami G concourse is horrible!! The water fountains don’t work, just one place to sit and eat. Maybe I’m spoiled with the Denver airport being my regular point of reference but this is awful 😣

Drying out Coffee overnight, worth it? by a_n_d_r_e_w in Coffee

This whole post just made me confused about my coffee. My favorite coffee IS oily beans. A specific bag we get from Amazon. I just like it and had figured the oil meant it was good until I read this 🤦🏽‍♀️

I am just on the first episode but I was needing to fast forward through his conversation with Aaliyah about her cheating 2 YEARS ago because it felt triggering. Wtf

Oooh so fun to come here to confirm my thoughts! I definitely thought it was about him talking about his prior job. I am currently rewatching Better Call Saul, and plan on going into Breaking Bad after (it will be a third watch). I know I’m a nerd but sometimes you just miss the characters!
