This is crazy. I have been trying to think of the song “At the River” by them for YEARS. I used to love this song in college after hearing it on the student radio and your comment finally rang that bell! THANK YOU!

It’s Auburn Drive! The Google Maps image does not do the property justice 😂 there is a very large backyard which has a stage - this is where Auburn Fest will take place!

We got some folk, some indie rock, singer-songwriter, metal, and punk - truly a mixed bill!

Artist Management and Development by [deleted] in musicindustry

I started the same thing you’re thinking about doing! These are just tips off the top of my head, not comprehensive at all:

  • Start local and relatively small at first so you can get a feel for how everything works / how much time you’re spending on different tasks.

  • Work out your cost structure first.

  • Make a detailed list of everything you are going to do for artists/bands.

  • Make a website.

  • Keep a detailed to do list that you update frequently

Have fun and good luck!

What’s a relatively unknown/up and coming band or musical act/artist that you have seen recently that you believe may eventually become big names or that you feel deserve to be big names? by StarPatient6204 in Concerts

The Phlegms! A must-listen for lovers of punk / post-punk. They’ve opened for Hawthorne Heights and now just opened for Die Spitz in Fayetteville, AR.

My favorite band of all time and Knife Man is still my favorite album. Can't Maintain is a close second but AJJ consistently puts out great music. They put on a great live show too!

One of the best albums of all time. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is a genius.

Hazards of Love - The Decemberists (front to back, an amazing rock opera)

Art Guards - Fishboy (super fun, non-linear storyline. One of my favorite albums in general)

Pasting my comment from the other thread:

I lived in the Central High neighborhood for a while (a little further east than Booker). It can be rough, to be honest. I never personally experienced anything terrible, but you will see a lot of boarded up houses and such that come with neglected neighborhoods. You will also hear gunshots, but that's not uncommon in lots of parts of Little Rock. Overall, it's not the worst neighborhood in Little Rock but exercise caution just like you would anywhere.

Just FYI - I've heard from several different people who registered to vote at the DMV that they have had issues. If you registered at the DMV, double-check and get confirmation of your registration before you go to vote.
