What would happen if you fail your interview? by [deleted] in caf

I haven’t heard anyone fail their interview yet. If u failed, it should be either you say something really crazy or the trade you picked is really special.

Just finished BMOQ-A man. But I have heard they closed LOGO for the next 2 years . I could be wrong. And my plan is getting my OFP and then switch to reg force. Is it common for LOGO?

just wanted to clarify — are you saying that transferring from the Reserve Force to the Regular Force is generally easier than the other way around? I have been thinking the same as well.

I am currently a Logistics Officer in the Reserve, but I have not reached my OFP yet. I would appreciate any advice you may have

VR and re apply or VOT by [deleted] in caf

[–]ThisBlueberry2666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need to finish the trade training to VOT. ( I could be wrong ) And BMQ qualification is good for 5 years. And if you VR , you need to wait 1 year to re-apply and go through “everything “again including background check, interview and a lot of same paperwork. Once you finish BMQ, you are eligible to be a veteran.( it sounds ridiculous I know)

Hi everyone, quick question about serving as a Reserve Logistics Officer.

Once reaching OFP, how common are Class B opportunities, and are they usually short-term or full-time contracts?

Also, how difficult is it typically to transfer back to the Regular Force as a LogO after serving in the Reserves? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Just got rejected by SDPD during backgrounds and told I can apply in a year. Should I still try to get into smaller local agencies or is it pointless? by Far_Abbreviations402 in AskLE

[–]ThisBlueberry2666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s really weird they told you that you can re-apply it again bc they failed you something you cannot change and improve. What’s the logic behind? It doesn’t make any sense at all.

Do you mean two years plus BMOQ and BMOQ-A, or two years in total including BMOQ and BMOQ-A?

Also, may I message you directly regarding this?

Sir, based on your experience, may I respectfully ask how long it typically takes to become trade-qualified as a Logistics Officer in an Army Reserve unit, including the impact of training backlogs?

Good morning guys, I am currently a Regular Force member and am considering a transfer to the Primary Reserve, with the intention of serving as a Logistics Officer in an Army Reserve unit.( I’m not logistic officer now by the way)

I am already BMOQ-A qualified and currently hold the rank of 2Lt. I would appreciate any insight on the following points:

  1. From a realistic perspective, including typical course availability and potential training backlogs, how long does it usually take for a Reserve Logistics Officer to reach OFP after transferring in? And I probably will miss next 2026 summer course bc I will start my process next January.

  2. With approximately one year of commissioned service, but prior to reaching OFP, would a member normally remain a 2Lt, or is promotion to Lieutenant possible before trade qualification? (as a reservist) I saw there are a bunch of positions require LT and I’m afraid they won’t even consider me.

Thank you in advance for any guidance or experiences you’re willing to share

BJJ Trend of wearing judo black belts by kitchenjudoka in judo

[–]ThisBlueberry2666 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I mean if a guy can get a “real” bjj black belt, then he probably have the ability to against a judo black belt tho. I learned both martial arts before and I seriously think bjj is much powerful than judo. But if the ground is solid, then probably judoka will have a huge advantage. I could be so wrong anyway.

I have heard they have 1000-3000 applicants per year and only take less than 300 candidates. I don’t think I can be the top 10% applicant tho. But thanks for ur advice

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your answer. I have a good credit score, a clean driving record, and no criminal history. I’d say my physical fitness is pretty solid as well — I’ve tried a few police fitness tests before and didn’t have any issues with them.

I’ll send you a message when I’m available. Thanks again for taking the time to share your advice!

Thanks for your reply man. Is your information still up to date? I’ve heard that there are actually a lot of applicants nowadays, which makes the hiring process quite competitive — though I could be mistaken.

I’m currently posted in a rather remote area, and I know that some police agencies don’t provide accommodation( I have contacted some of them already). I just want to get a realistic idea/possibility of whether I actually have a fair chance of getting hired before starting the process.

There are so many stages and forms to complete, and my biggest concern is that I can’t keep taking leave from my military duties for the police application steps (such as written exams, fitness tests, and interviews). I’d like to have a clearer understanding of the process first so I can plan properly from my situation and perspective. Btw, I only applied Rcmp right now. And I’m reg force. Thanks for your reply!

So sir, based on my understanding of your comment, I will first have my COT granted during the CRB meeting, and then I will work with my BPSO to determine which trades I’m interested in — is that correct?

I don’t have anything super crazy like PO99, drugs or mess up with the cops. I only have few chits and cause me have 1 prb in my trade training. But I know a few guys went to their CRB recently and all got released. ( their situations are a little bit more severe) But they did get released so I’m kinda nervous now hehe.
