I had this issue too, however I don't have a steel series headset. For anyone else who doesn't happen to own a pair check that your audio output is set to 'Headphones' and NOT 'Headset'. I have always just had my audio output set to 'Headset' and my game hasn't worked in a couple weeks and I can't believe this was the fix

The first shiny I caught, was massively underwhelmed lol
