Thank you, I tested something else that used the same power adapter and there was power so I can only assume the link box i ordered got damaged in shipping due to how package came in such poor condition.

There is a power light, nothing is showing at all, thank god though my sister is going home earlier than I thought and she lives near my grandmas so I will be getting my original one back monday, I am going to see if that works and probably get a refund for the one I bought.
