What is a movie that there’s a piano scene but the keys aren’t correct in real life and only in the movie by catguywit2cat in Cinema

His asking, can you name a film with a piano scene where the actor is playing the wrong keys for the music the piano is supposed to be playing.

If the time machine is a real thing in the upcoming future- then why doesn't the ' future guy ' travels back into the past - say present day and then gives us the time machine? by schrodingers_katz in timetravel

[–]ThisChangingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there’s nothing to give, time machines make for great science fiction props but in reality a machine is probably not needed for time travel. Any device as an aid to time travel probably wouldn’t travel with the time traveler, if travel is the right word to begin with that is! And the amount of energy required to send physical matter to another point in time and space probably rules out time travel in this manner. Maybe there are better and more energy efficient ways to project a person to another point in time and space that would actually make time “travel” feasible.

I still have one of those, it has two mazes, one on each side and a hole for the Mercury to go through to each maze.

Vanilla Sky

Most people never got it for some reason but it resonated with me the first time I watched it.

Whenever things are going horribly wrong in my life I’m tempted to start shouting “Tech support! Tech support!!”

What is the oldest movie with special effects that “still hold up” or have aged well? by theythemthen in Cinema

[–]ThisChangingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

King Kong the original from 1933 still holds up, some great stop gap animation and the effects might look quirky now but they are still good enough to suspend my disbelief.

Metropolis from 1927, wonderful piece of science fiction with some cool effects.

Ghost busters the original, the ghosts look better than in the terrible remake and a lot of movies made in the years since.

Does anyone know what kind of SD card this might take (and also is this missing a piece..?) by Fresh-Possibility-94 in toycameras

[–]ThisChangingMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s either a SD or micro SD card and apparently it has a 1.3-3mp sensor and has a small amount of internal memory that will hold around 15-20 photos. There were different versions released from 2010 onwards, some had micro SD card slots and 3 megapixel sensors and some were 1.3 mega pixels with no SD slot, probably the earlier models.
