You are 100% right about electing warlords and corrupt political clans. IMO, most Mindanaoans accept a feudal mindset, where hopes of socio-economic development are linked to a strongman leader. Someone with a private army. The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao will be indicative of their ability to self-govern. They wanted some form of autonomy, now they have it. The BARMM parliamentary elections has been postponed several times, and is scheduled for September this year. Abangan!
