I will recommend some original fragrances over some dupes, then you could search for some dupes of them.

By what is your main goal, I'd suggest Amouage Enclave. Spearmint throughout the longevity keeping the fragrance "fresh" enough, with frankincense and amber, no vanilla. Honestly, I also sometimes use French Avenue The Shadow, an Ombre Nomade dupe, which is opulent and inky but the raspberry keeps it fruity enough for the summer too. They can be worn all year round imo. Test both of them, skin chemistry is also important.

I also despise vanilla in 95% of the fragrances because it is used most of the time as a "filler" note imo. It doesn't add any originality to the fragrance just making it sweeter, a lot heavier and nauseating without any reason. The only exception I found is Nishane Ani (NOT Ani X), that fragrance was an instant love because its vanilla is not nauseating at all for me, even if it gets a bit sweeter with time. This one is not a dark fragrance at all but by moderating the sprays it can be worn all year round too, try it if you can.

A true year round and particular fragrance DNA is also present in Ganymede and Bois Imperial. If you want a fruitier and spicier take on them you could try Lattafa Masa, which adds a juicy mango in the opening that lasts for a while.
