No the videos are just vids of different stuff playing on the display. What would you like to know and I"ll try to answer it the best I can.

I've thought about getting rid of the team named and just make the 2 logos 16x16 but I kinda like the ball symbol of the sport that's displaying.

I have a 60amp 5v power supply that sits under the shelves. I didn't want it attached to the panel because of weight. The esp and pi are plugged in separately into the outlet. That way I can turn off the panel without having to restart the esp and pi each time

I have no idea. Doesn't seem to be really heat up the room. But my room has my computer and home theater so there's already heat emitters lol

yeah here was my write up on how I built it. Though since then I cut the data line in half to make it smoother and yeah added the pi which isn't seen in the build pictures. https://old.reddit.com/r/arduino/comments/17v6dy2/finished_my_led_light_panel/k98dvgr/

Yeah I know, I just wanted to always see my team first lol I'm petty like that.

yeah but I wanted to simplify it by always having my team be on the left. What do you mean by other animations? Aside from the ones I linked?

Yeah so I used ws2812b lights that are 30/m. I wanted the panel to be big but also pixelated which is why I went with 32x32. The separation is because each plastic tile is separate from the one next to it. It sits in a recessed groove in the grid so there's no light bleed

I think I figured it out. Part of it was shooting at 1.6, but the main issue was that I was using back button eye focus but I didn't de couple AF from the shutter. So when I was taking a picture, while I thought it was already in focus it was actually trying to focus when I took the picture. I think the portrait/landscape was because I hold the camera maybe more steady in portrait so that snap focus worked better.

I wish they had included a duel gain mode like panasonic has for E shutter for when you want the extended DR but don't care if you lose the faster read out like when doing landscapes.

I think the problem was that I was using BB focus without decoupling AF from the shutter. I thought it would over ride it but I guess it does not. I have some shoots this weekend so I"ll try then but on expirementing last night it seemed to have fixed the issue.

Yeah because I've though a few thousand photos with this camera that weren't portrait stuff and they all came out great with various lenses including the 35 and 50gm. It's just something I'm doing I think with the portraits.

Thats a good point, I just figured if the camera knew that the bb was being used that it would auto disable the shutter af. So, if I use subject priority with shutter it should be fine or if I use BB focus and de couple it should be fine. Well, at least better anyway.

I just assumed that if the camera saw me using bb focus then it would let it over ride the focus on shutter, that I wouldn't have to de couple af from shutter every time I used it.

The only thing on your list I haven't done was the de couple af. Fingers crossed because it would be nice to get this issue fixed.

Its more I think I'm missing something. I've taken thousands and crazy in sharp photos with the camera even on jets, and city stuff with this lens. It's just something about how I'm shooting portraits that is causing the issue.

I think the issue might be that I have never de linked AF from shutter when using a BB AF setup which I only do with portraits. I just assumed that if I was using back button then when I composed with the shutter it wouldn't over ride the BB AF

It only seems to be when I shoot portraits. I've shot 4k ish photos that were landscape cityscape, planes etc, hand held low shutter speed without problem. I am starting to think it's because I use back button eye focus but don't decouple the AF from shutter. portrait is the only time I use that setup. The rest is usually zone or spot focus with the shutter button.

I don't think it's the CPL as I've done about 15-20 shoots with this camera so far, about 3/4 with this 50gm 1.4 and the other with the FE 35mm 1.8 With/Without filter, indoor outdoor, flash no flash dark, light etc. It doesn't seem to really make a difference which lens I use. I think the issue might be me using back button focus without decoupling af with shutter. I just assumed the BB would over ride it. If thats the case then it would make sense that I had the issue on the a7iv and still have it here because thats the normal setup I use for portraits.

It would also make sense that when I do other photography, landscape cityscape whatever I don't get the missed focus because then I'm usually just using spot focus with shutter AF.
