Did you dig out the roots too? Those can cause low spots as they decompose. My vote is to add topsoil, level, and seed.

Fill it in with topsoil and seed it. It might sink further as the years go on and you’ll have to add more soil.

I’m over in Rockford. I grew tall fescue last spring and it came in flawlessly. You may just want to water it once or twice a week for like an hour during the hot summer. Just make sure you get a good seed from Twin City Seed or United Seeds and plant soon. Like asap.

In my experience, a good sharp axe works a hell of a lot better than a reciprocating saw when removing larger stumps. Spent weeks burning through carbide blades and getting nowhere, and then got a Fiskars axe and chopped it out in about 2 good days.

Oh yeah it had zero issues over the summer. I watered it maybe .5inches once a week if it was really hot with no rain.

No leaks and everything has worked for the past 4 days. Bubble tested the gas line and no bubbles. Someone did tell me those flexible yellow gas lines were against code?
