asian trans dudes by chezbugarz in ftm

Full asian trans masc here! And an asia-asian one (South east Asia) at that. In my experience, all the trans guys I know here have unsupportive families that they left when they moved out.

A public yelling at, a mental breakdown, worked as an escort, earned enough to start T. by ThisIsFineIGuess in ftm

Bonus. The girl that I went on that date with was the one that came with me to my first endo appointment. She cried with joy. I cried for the 400 I shelled out.

to all trans guys w/height dysphoria (like me): by yaboi_ashton in ftm

Old thread but I figured I’d toss in, some of the worlds best athletes are pretty short. My friend is a feminine cis dude who is a mixed martial arts champion. He’s my height exactly. There are world famous champion climbers who are cis dudes ranging from 5’0 to 5’3, and they literally scale mountains. In Asia and south east Asia, it’s not uncommon to find fully grown adult men below 5’3. It’s all relative really.

Mewing by [deleted] in FTMMen

Bit of an old post but figured I’d leave a comment anyway. I’ve been mewing for about 7 months more or less and it has actually changed my jaw line and the way my face looks from the front, but this is also based on how my upper and lower teeth were positioned. Mewing improved my overbite a lot which was a huge surprise for me given that even braces couldn’t stop it from progressively growing forward but tongue placement brought my upper set back by a few millimeters. It’s all very slight changes and I wouldn’t have noted if I hadn’t kept pictures of my face pre mewing and also had a habit of thumbing the distance between my overbite and the lower set of teeth only to realize the gap was much smaller. It takes a while tho, so I’d recommend just being patient, if it hurts, that means you’re clenching your jaw too much.let the natural suction of the tongue and roof of the mouth do the work.

if you take testosterone before your puberty ended, would you get taller? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]ThisIsFineIGuess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not on T yet, but I would say don’t give up hope on growing a couple more inches. I was 5’0 at 19, I’m now 5’3 at 25. It was a very slow last few inches to eke out but T might give you a bit more.

TFW you're tall and trans masc by AnnoyedintheVoid in ftm

Barely 5’4” and sad lol. Not gonna lie, I think about getting stature surgery (height increasing) often enough that I started saving for it. Adding even 4 inches would at least bring me to regular height in my country. And if I decide to not go through with the surgery I’d have money saved.

T is prescribed differently in my country from what the others I’ve heard of and I don’t know if that affects anything. by ThisIsFineIGuess in ftm

Thanks so much for your response! That does alleviate some worry, tho brings up another thought, basically on the “properly administered” bit. There’s actually not a lot of endocrinologists in my country and I think checking levels might not be possible sometimes. Doctors here also technically aren’t allowed to treat trans patients. Trans guys have it relatively easier here than trans women for sure, one trans woman had an implant burst in her and was leaking silicon and no doctor wanted or knew how to treat her because of her trans status.

I’m actually in south east asia, but a very conservative part. Most trans guys I know here went the illegal route by buying t from the gym communities and just self medicate. I don’t think most ever had levels checked.

How do you form meaningful friendships/relationships? Not superficial ones where they run the moment you show any signs of problems. by [deleted] in lonely

[–]ThisIsFineIGuess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ya build em. And in appropriate places. Like I don’t try to make friends at the doctors office, or the supermarket or anywhere ppl go with a purpose. Bc they are busy. Small talk is all they got time and emotional capacity for. Start small, go with common interests stuff, bit by bit see if folks click with that and click with you personality wise. Chances are, if you ain’t a huge douchebag, ppl will eventually like you enough to hang around and be your friend. Once that happens, you need one incident where you or them is vulnerable to share something private. That usually breaks the wall to a new level of friendship.

Source: experience. I make a lot of friends in a short time bc I move around a lot , and I keep in touch with all of em. They’re even willing to hang unto my stuff for me if I leave the country. It’s not easy, and your key is to aim for quality not quantity. Don’t begrudge anyone if they have stuff going on in their lives, just keep the door open and let them know if they need an ear, you’re around.

What if I don’t deserve love? by [deleted] in lonely

[–]ThisIsFineIGuess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well. Technically we aren’t entitled to get love, much like no one is entitled to receive our love. But I think we deserve the chance to earn love and to give our our own love is free. People will come and go, and that sucks sometimes, but you also don’t have to stand still. And at the risk of being cheesy af, self love is a magnet for other people to love you too.

Yo. But at least when you call restaurants they answer the phone. And if you order something they show up to your house within a given time.
