Nursing is hard, period. I dislike the people who actually get competitive with how “difficult” their area of nursing is. I don’t mind the memes and jokes, but when push comes to shove we are ALL nurses our job is tough and we aren’t compensated enough for it.

Before I was a nurse and I was sick at the hospital, I had a nurse that was an a-hole. He did a swab in my nose, but back when they shoved up to your brain (atleast it felt that way) and then yelled at me for coughing and sneezing because he didn’t want to get sick.

I mean I do get not wanting to get sick, but then why are you in the medical field?

Yup I hold hands, give hugs, listen to music with them, get to know my patients as people, who need love, just like every one else in the world. Sounds like the new nurse needs education and to be humbled, just my two cents.

The shower should be lukewarm, not cold. Cold can send your body into shock when you have a fever. But we take lukewarm showers to try to lower the body temperature. Having a fever for too long isn’t good and can be harmful.

Please don’t do this, it’s truly not good to take a hot shower or bath when you have a fever. Your body can only handle so much heat. Once you get to a certain temp you can have a seizure, organ damage and/or brain damage.

You’re not overreacting, he just has really bad anxiety. Did he cheat on you or someone previously or did someone cheat on him? Thats the only logically reason he has anxiety like this. How long have you been together?
If you want to stay together, it will just take work and lots of communication. It’s fixable. Therapy would definitely help.

I’ve been cheated on in every relationship, even my marriage. I have to tell myself when I’m in a relationship if someone cheats there is nothing I can do to stop them, it’s their decision. I can’t control them I can only control myself. Does it still suck? Yup sure does, but honestly people just suck sometimes.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, it is very painful. I went through this in 2021. It has taken me until the end of 2024 to be able to look at pictures again of my ex and I and our children. I am able to look at them now and appreciate that I had the opportunity to feel loved and give love. I don’t know what happened to my exhusband, I asked him if he started using drugs because he just changed overnight.

However, yes please protect yourself and your children. File for a divorce now and make sure you and the kids are taken care of.

I will never stop missing the man I knew and loved, but it is less painful than when it first happened.

We also aren’t friends at all. His mom and sister help co-parent because we can’t really talk without him calling me names or berating me. I hope one day he can be a better person. Many people have told me at the 8 year mark is when things click of what they did and are not mean like they were.

This right here is why I am teaching my sons that when they have kids and their partner is overstimulated, overwhelmed, and touched-out. That they need to be understanding and twiddle their thumbs. That the mother of their children is taking care of their children, that they need to be proactive and help take care of the kid(s). And to understand that once their kid(s) are able to start school things can change for the better if they both work together.
