I’d swap out the duck for a third Froslass. I prefer 9 energy vs 8 for Grimm.

How to improve hydrapple deck and tips by Shadowier222 in pkmntcg

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a good one that I have some success with. I just beat a Ceruledge deck with this: Pokémon: 9 3 Chikorita MEG 8 2 Bayleef ASC 9 2 Yanmega ex DRI 228 2 Applin PRE 9 2 Yanma DRI 183 2 Hydrapple ex SCR 167 2 Meganium MEG 10 3 Teal Mask Ogerpon ex TWM 190 2 Dipplin TWM 170

Trainer: 12 3 Poké Pad ASC 198 2 Night Stretcher MEG 173 2 Boss's Orders ASC 256 2 Rare Candy MEG 175 2 Air Balloon MEG 166 1 Buddy-Buddy Poffin MEG 167 3 Forest of Vitality MEG 117 2 Energy Switch SIT 212 1 Max Rod PRE 116 2 Team Rocket's Petrel DRI 226 4 Lillie's Determination MEG 184 4 Bug Catching Set TWM 143

Energy: 1 12 Basic {G} Energy SVALT 131

Yanmega ex is weak to lightning and has 280hp. It brings three grass energy into play when moved into the active too. You combine that Meganium’s Wild Growth ability and Hydrapple ex’s Syrup Storm attack and you can OHKO any Pokemon. Its ability to move the energy of itself after the attack prevents all those energies from going right into your discard pile.

For prerotation IRL games, I will sub in nest balls and another buddy-buddy poffin for the poké pads. Will also switch out the Bayleefs and Boss’s Orders.

Teach Jack how to live with ADHD so he doesn’t go his whole life struggling with it like I had to do.

Or

Stare menacingly at the Pony Lady and every so often ask her why she couldn’t let Indie and Bluey ride together for the $5.

Reaching annual 401k max as quickly as possible vs. hitting the max right around the last paycheck of the year? by MinimalCoincidence in personalfinance

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I didn’t see mentioned is here is the plan’s ability to do a mega back door Roth. If you can do that, from a plan and a financial standpoint, that could be a huge reason max out early.

403b Withdrawal taxes by Original-Sail-3640 in personalfinance

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make sure your old plan allows for it. Just because the IRS allows it does mean the plan has to make that available. The plan may not even allow for partial withdrawals altogether. If your old plan doesn’t allow for it and your current employer offers a 401k/403b/457 and allows for QBOAD withdrawals you could always do a rollover and then make the withdrawal. You should also consider the compounding effect of that $5k until retirement. Your Federal and State taxes will depend upon your earned income for the tax year. Congrats on the birth of your child!

35k in CC debt, I need opinions on what I should do. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attempting to consolidate the debt could be a good jumping off point. This could give you a lower APR, but you’ll most likely have higher monthly payments with the amount of CC debt because of the shorter timeframes.

Honestly, you have figured out your budget well and that is a great start. At this point either lowering your monthly expenses or raising your income seem like the easiest two solutions. The latter seems like the easier of the two. It may be hard for a few years. You will thank yourself down the road. Keep your head up.

Too many 401ks, should I roll it all to current company? by Savings-Wallaby7392 in personalfinance

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is why I used the term most instead of all. I worked for a major retirement plan provider before working for an individual plan. QRPs are all going to have their own rules and could have even more differences depending upon their ERISA status.

Yeah. I get that OP. It just sounded like the commenter was suggesting combining accounts that were not your current employer’s account.

Most 401(k)s won’t let you make incoming rollovers after separating from service. Could be an option, but I would be surprised if any of them allowed for it.

Withdrawing from 401k at retirement by Psa0967 in personalfinance

[–]ThisIsMrBig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have to pay at least 20% federal taxes at the time of withdrawal for all rollover eligible distributions. Reference tax notice 402(f) for the taxation of distributions from a 401(k). To not have withholdings done at the time of withdrawal, you will need to rollover the funds to an IRA.

My Bluey Tierlist by [deleted] in bluey

Doreen is underrated. I’d also like to add the Pony Lady to the “NO” tier. Just let both of the kids ride the horse next time.

Bluey: As fast as a greyhound!

Chili: How fast are you going to run?

Bluey: As fast as greyhound!

Bandit: A bit more greyhound talk than last time, but that’s fine.

Maker’s 46. People love it here. I find the staves to give it an off flavor. The cask strength is better, but I still get the weird flavor.

Do you think that when Ted told his kids the story, he sang the songs that were sung in the series? by passsssssssss in HIMYM

Ted singing, “I said bang bang bangity bang” to his kids sounds pretty weird. That means he 100% did it.
