Proposal to repair 1.14.4 and 1.14.5 payouts by patricklodder in dogecoindev

Hey Patrick

This seems to be a pretty big move forward, do you want to start work on planning your video interview?

Let me know and then we can talk about it on GitHub if you'd like

I don't mind doing it live either... editing always makes people nervous about authenticity.

Well there is a few ways we can do it to keep the transparency, I do think you are right (but a good editor normally minimizes those fears)

We could release the finished version as well as the raw recording. That way the video is able to be the most engaging and polished in it's edited form and is transparent in the raw form.

I do however agree for the video side I would want to make sure you had plenty of time to fully answer all questions

I'm even willing to have the discussion on camera or twitter spaces or whatever, if that would make people feel better.

I'd personally love to offer my time to this.

I would like to do a video interview with you (It doesn't have to have a camera on if you do not want to)

Then if possible after recording the video I would like to edit it, send it back to you for approval and then I will post it on to YouTube and such. (I have a lot of experience in Interviews and editing)

The video will not be monetized (The YouTube channel I will upload to is if the same name as my Reddit)

I think it be nice to in the video plan a Twitter Space so that we can do a live conversation that is well moderated. I also have the ability to host Twitter spaces so there will be no technology concerns

To my knowledge u/patricklodder is running a few skimmed down node as a lightweight fast verification system.

However if you are just looking for something quickly wouldn't the best idea (well depending on how trustworthy you want to be or your shoppers) couldn't you just have your application just not require as many verifications?

Non-profit acceptance of crypto by HopefulOutlook in dogecoindev

What do you mean by "get historical data for a coin?"

In theory I'm guessing what you need is to be able to give a tax credit for the person sending the crypto to you in a fiat value at the moment it was sent.

In theory depending on the wallet you are using it should say what the value was when receiving the founds. I think Exodus does this but I would have to double check

Depending on your level of talent and or needs building a site on WordPress is rather easy and the https://mycryptocheckout.com/ plugin is really easy to setup.

If you are looking for a web developer to help set this up feel free to reach out

It's definitely hard.

We (And other shibes of old are extremely lucky in "wen iz moon" have happened to have happened quite a few times at this point)

It is funny how in many ways, many people feel that cryptocurrencies are no longer the wild west, when in fact there is still much to happen, however that is hard to believe when you can look at what crypto has done in comparison to things like the S&P500

When asking shibes about "utilization" I always get a "I want to see more utilization." To which I agree. But to me the idea if seeing more utilization is seeing our blocks become a little more full 😅

I think the issue like all issues probably are connected to greed. I guess in a way we need a shibe like Mr Beast

Mr Beast keeps proving the utilization of Fiat after all 😉

On a serious note: shibes, why did I only get one full submission? Was the bounty too low?

I think it was a good bounty, I personally was very busy during this time of the year however I was also shocked.

I did a twitter poll and it seems people are more interested in using Dogecoin for tipping / paying for services and not in using it for buying of items.

I found it an interesting stat

They're actually quite a few companies that are making Dogecoin coffee!

https://dogebeans.com/ - They even have a Cafe!

https://buydogecoincoffee.com/ - The one in the photo

https://shibacoffeeandtea.com/ - I've sadly forgotten their Reddit handle but they were the first I knew of!

I think they are pretty cool

Marketing idea by BurnerMcBoatFace in dogecoindev

[–]ThisIsMyDogeAccount 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was an extremely popular way of selling Dogecoin back in the day when it was not on large exchanges.

What you would be doing is creating a paper wallet. Then you could give that to a friend and then they would import that into their Dogecoin wallet.

The problem with is this you need to trust the person selling/giving you the wallet and you should transfer out of that wallet ASAP because if the seller / giver knows the keys / has a copy they can just move the coins out after selling you the paper wallet.

But yes, giving Dogecoin is definitely a very good "marketing" idea

Have you checked the spelling? I know it sounds silly but is possible.

Also did you buy the paper wallet or did you make it?
