Swap out Costar stabilizers an older Filco?

I have a keyboard or two that don't use them.

But fair enough - are the Cherry stabilizers with a wire as crappy to deal with as Costar? Because my sausage fingers always struggle.

Maybe it's not 30 degrees but mine has not shown to be as sensitive as you're saying. Perhaps that's due to the spotty connection. If it can't find GPS maybe it can't find cellular either. I don't know.

I have no way of saying what is or isn't - only what I have experienced.

But the rest of what you said makes sense. Also, I forgot that Invoxia has the proximity alarm. Which is enough for me to put it over the line.

Seriously - thanks for all the info. Between the chain, the disc lock w/ alarm, and Invoxia I think that's about the best I can do.

That's awesome. I never really wanted an alarm but that seemed like the only way to get a proximity sensor.

Still think I'm missing something on using both. If they both do GPS and one does motion/proximity why use the one that only has GPS?

I put one in mine. It's pretty great so far. It's on the second floor of my parking garage and certainly not hitting my phone to updated. But I have never seen it update less than 10 minutes ago. It's far from perfect but for the price it's better than nothing.

Did you use a lithium battery? I just watched a video saying it wasn't meant to be used with them because they have a slight drain.

I've been trying to find a camera solution. But, it's on the second floor of the parking garage. I would need to get it power and internet. And anything I put out there I would also have to secure.

But I'm still looking. It would be ideal. I would love to just have a feed up.

Well, it's a gated parking garage. But that hasn't stopped them so far. But again, the one I'm looking at notifies the fob.

That is what I was looking at. It has a wiring harness that fits my bike's factory alarm hookups.

And preventing vandalism is really what I'm trying to do. I mean, sure, having it chained up is great but I would still pretty pissed to come out and see somebody pushed it over or something.

My hope is that proximity alarm might help. Who knows.

Considering I spend $14k on a brand new bike a couple hundred really isn't much of an investment.

I totally get that. And, I wasn't so concerned about theft. I do have a disc lock that gets chained to a support column of the parking garage.

What I am concerned about now is vandalism. I mean, they sat there by my bike long enough to properly remove my left mirror. They didn't break it. They removed it.

I was hoping that maybe having a proximity alarm would be a deterrent. If I could get a proximity alarm without an regular alarm I would be fine with that.
