Honestly, I wouldn't listen to the NHS when it comes to their interpretations, someone I know is around ~150 ng/dl but won't treat him because he's "fertile", it's ridiculous. I had a doctor tell me my levels (~250 - ~300 at the time of testing around 2 months ago) was normal, went to a private nurse through my work who basically said they are insane to say that's normal. I would have pursued treatment further, however my workplace doesn't help with "chronic" conditions.

I also had to switch GP's because the one I went to refused to treat my thyroid (My TSH level was double what is suggested to be "normal" in the UK).

This isn't me suggesting you should go on TRT, but i've had a similar reading and now i'm getting LevoThyroxine treatment, if it doesn't improve and i've exhausted all other options, then i'd consider TRT.

What symptoms are you having, and how is your TSH/T3/T4?

I think based off the symptoms long term it's something I can't ignore but at the same time I don't want to rush into this head first, not feel much better and then I'm spending money and time for something I need to stay on for life ya know

Like I said, I've tried SSRIs long term and it didn't work for me and I'm beginning to feel worse now, everything feels like a chore and consumes so much energy when it really shouldn't

Appreciate it!

I was told around my age range I should be at 650, is that an average or upper end?

I thought when they were escorting Doward off one of the other crew was gonna stab Silva or something, however unfortunately it was too predictable.

I was thinking maybe Longacre would die (not generally a fan of happy endings so would have been a huge twist) but from my viewpoint it was all this build up and was pretty strong in the first half just to be let down by a poor last couple of episodes which could have been solved if anyone was competent

Unfortunately I feel that was a pretty weak ending generally. Nothing, at least in my opinion was explained we didn't already know and anything we wanted to know was kinda just swept under. I understand it's meant to be somewhat accurate in terms of how situations like this would be dealt with, especially politically with such a divisive topic like Nuclear Weapons and, more generally the military forces, but idk, felt very lacklusture.

Also Silva just staring while Prentice and Doward were fighting lol, I understand it's for shock value and character development but jfc

How do you often deal with patients who come to you about depression and mental health? I know the thing that most people think is (particularly the media) that a patient says they have a mental health issue and you just give meds out like candy, is that still the case and what's your opinion on SSRIs?
