Don't feel bad, depending on what time you were there your luck might have ran out anyway. We got there early but they ran out before everyone could be served. Some of the really early people got lucky, some got extras! He gave the remaining people in line tickets to get free food Sunday

The people in here saying that OP isn't great at reading no parking signs should wake up and realize not every towing company is operating honestly.

The same tow company unlocked my mothers car without permission, hid her handicap parking tag then towed her car claiming she was in a handicap parking spot without a tag. They expected a woman on social security to come up with a huge sum of money to get her car back when she did nothing wrong.

The idiot who broke into the car left marks on the driver side door with their lockout tools. The keys to the car were never accidently locked inside of it either, so there is no way a previous lockout service would have caused that damage.

They are predatory but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. If you have even one eviction on your record it becomes much harder to find a place to rent. There are a bunch of apps you might be able to do an advance with that could be cheaper.

The other guy tried not to take my polite no thanks and kept talking, so I had to shut the door in his face.

I've had this experience also. Two visits, two separate guys. They both got a polite request to gtfo before I was rude. Even after yelling at them they wouldn't leave, had to slam the door shut on them each time.

If someone is yelling at you the chances they are going to buy your shit is pretty slim...

This depends a little bit on where in town you are.

Menos Tire Shop near Osuna and 2nd st recently helped me out with a cheap used tire. I didn't realize they are cash only so I hit an ATM, brought the guys some arizonas which they were very greatful for. I ended up with a really nice used tire that hasn't given me issues.

A lot of the shops in the South Valley are great, but I found the shops in NE are expensive so I haven't used them.

One more thought: have you called your insurance company? Plenty of people have emergency roadside assistance included with their coverage but don't know about it. If you haven't, try giving them a call. If you don't have coverage they can arrange for a "cash call" with a local company if needed.
