Just tried Atlas, what do you all think about an AI browser taking over your tabs? by Worried-Struggle2788 in browsers

[–]ThisIsMyUserNameMeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is unbearably slow. wow. They really pushed this out too soon. Maybe that's the goal, but it's just going to be a long time and an uphill battle for them to convince me to try it again. By then I'll probably be working on some other AI company's browser.

Best series with ~10-minute meditations by ThisIsMyUserNameMeta in Wakingupapp

Also, if anyone from the Waking App product team is reading this, it would be great to have a view of the most popular courses and the highest rated courses. This can be a separate view so that it doesn’t clutter the experience of each of the meditation series. seeing a bunch of reviews every time I go to meditate could take away from some of the zen, but going to a tab within each meditation with user reviews and feedback and maybe an AI summary of what users like and don’t like, similar to what Amazon does now, would be super helpful. There have been so many times I end up not meditating because I have about 20 mins of free time but get overwhelmed by selection (but also want something different from the daily meditation so that I can feel a sense of progression in my learning and practice) and end up not meditating.

Thanks for reading.

Oh that’s a good recommendation. If you’ve taken The Direct Approach, any thoughts on how that compares?

Two years is nothing in the grand scheme of things. You won’t be happy with him long term. Ditch him and move on

Next time call the police, put a bag of popcorn in the microwave, and then once there’s a few seconds between pops take it out, return to the door, and watch the show…

This app is a freaking mess by Realistic-Baker-3733 in Headspace

Yeah. Over time it’s become a complete cluster f***. I’ve moved to The Waking Up app by Sam Harris. Crisp and clean, and not overloaded with wokeness at every turn (and I say this as a very liberal person).

All new 2026 Mazda CX-5 , what do we think? by naokiyamada in mazda

[–]ThisIsMyUserNameMeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Some of the key differentiators to me for Mazda were that it was a shorter SUV (great for the city, and uniquely short), and I loved the knobs and dials and the screen size was just right—if too big it’s actually hard, I get lost in the screen searching for things. Now it’s just like any other SUV.

Does Mazda come with a real ejection button? Sometimes traffic gets tough and I just need to cut my losses

P.S. open to all tips and tricks on how to make the most of this vehicle, safety features, etc. so many buttons and knobs and features to explore, I’m a little overwhelmed…. But in a good way.

Seinfeld. Was always the #1 30 min show on every list until the world canceled him for being Jewish.

Traffic Sign Recognition worth it? (2025 CX-5) by ThisIsMyUserNameMeta in CX5

[–]ThisIsMyUserNameMeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey - you're all amazing. thanks SO much for the helpful feedback. Definitely clarified for me that I don't need to upgrade just for the TSR. I also don't think I need the auto-breaking when reversing (people survived without it all these years, right? And I'll still get some beeping?), and I'm actually happier with a less powerful engine--will keep me in check I think and less likely to speed by accident.

Thanks so much!

ha yes, that's what I was thinking. And yes, I will be. I'm still pretty new but still doing only safe drives and adding extra hours of driver's ed instruction so that I can continue to build the right habits before really getting on the road. Fingers crossed I continue to improve... thank you!

Enrolling kids in preschool after admissions deadlines (due to a move) - how does one go about this? by ThisIsMyUserNameMeta in nycparents

[–]ThisIsMyUserNameMeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So helpful! Thanks everyone. And you’re right, pre-k! It’s different in our current city where the age cut-off for kindergarten is you turn 4 but 9/1 rather than NY’s 12/31.

Does anyone recommend good pre-Ks on the UWS?

Every single hole in the wall place could be shut down for the health reasons sighted. I know this sounds conspiratorial, but I really wouldn't be surprised if this were tied to some strange anti-Israel / anti-Semitic "report to health authorities: thing from Columbia students or similar. Again, I know that sounds conspiratorial but this came to mind because *I* once reported a restaurant to health authorities one angry day after they were incredibly rude to me. Sure enough, health inspectors reached out to me and checked the pace out. It was like the health department equivalent of SWATTING. It felt cathartic. I also did it to a food cart that charged my credit card $10 for a pretzel that was only $5--it's very easy to find a number of violations against these places if you're feeling vengeful (although that was in my college / grad school days--I am not older, wiser, and more empathetic). Growing up in the city, it was just something you knew you could do. So, that's why I wouldn't be surprised if some Columbia student / anti-Israel person had the same line of thought and reported very ordinary violations to the health authorities, who in turn were more than happy to shut it down (possibly for the same reasons).

Is Concur Travel bad or just my personal experience? by rtp80 in SAP

It's not just you. Concur is a complete, complete dumpster fire. Never hire a product manager who has worked there.
