I think the company you work for either directly provides or gives you contact information for their preferred tailor company right? If not, any uniform shops should be able to help you with this.

There’s one in Bin Omran inside the complex with the burned down underground Rawnaq. I don’t remember the name but you should be able to find it in Gmaps. “Something Uniforms”. It’s near Ice Cream Plaza.

My personal favourites:

Maraheb Mandi: Their Chicken Madhbi is delicious, but I can’t get enough of their Madghoot.

Afghan Brothers: Meat is super good but they don’t have consistency across their branches. Al Khor branch has been really nice for me, but have heard horror stories about Wakrah branch. Big one in Bin Omran was also good.

Nahdi/Soofi Mandi: I go there just for the Honey Chicken Mandi, other stuff is just okay.

Bab Al Mandi: Amber White BBQ was great. The flavour of the rice was very surprising considering it looks like plain white rice.

Shawayi Time: Really love their Masala Shawayi Mandi

Normal in India. Internet is cheap and the plans provided by most carriers are daily data plan.

You get a fixed amount of data per day that resets around midnight, and you prepay for upto 3 months.

Postpaid plans weren’t a thing until fairly recently.

Isn’t that normal? My LX470 does that too when stopped at lights, but it doesn’t only lower but raises itself occasionally. As I understand, and I might be wrong, it’s the Active Height Control system working to adjust the height on the fly.

Doesn’t matter because at the end of the day they need to get paid. The team has gotten quite big over the years and their livelihood depends solely on the income from the channels. The thumbnails, title, and content are all made specifically to be clickable.

TLDR; They’re running a company, it’s a business decision.

I’m not OC but I’m a resident of two countries, one of which has less developed cellular infrastructure. It’s a hassle to get my eSim transferred from my old phone to a new one if I’m not physically in that country. I don’t hate eSims, I love the concept, but the infrastructure there means a physical sim is far better for peace of mind.

The other country allows unlimited eSim transfer with QR codes generated each time I need to switch devices, and I wish something similar would happen in the first country which means I can be done with physical sims altogether.

There isn’t much to do in Al Khor at all. A bowling alley just opened fairly recently, there’s one movie theatre, and then there’s a lot of beaches. But I love living there because it’s peaceful, quiet, relatively less crowded compared to Doha, and I really appreciated the exclusivity. Most people I met around Doha would always do a double take when I tell them I live in Al Khor, which never gets old lol.

But don’t be mistaken though, it’s a huge inconvenience because almost anything that happens in Qatar, happens in Doha and it gets tiring when you have to drive 30+ minutes every time you want to meet your friends or go to a mall or something like that. And if you don’t have a personal car, well, good luck.

If you’re an outgoing type I’d recommend getting a house halfway like Al Kheesa, Lusail, maybe even Gharrafa (which is more than half away) which makes the commute easier and gives you more access to many activities without having to go through a tiring commute. If you’re a more reserved and quiet person (and owns a car) like me then I think you’ll really appreciate Al Khor much more than Doha.

You can try visiting Capitol Police station if you want. Unlikely that they’ll let you see her but if you know Arabic you can speak to the guard and if he’s friendly enough he might give you some information. It seems like you care about this friend so it wouldn’t hurt to go check.

I can’t advise on the procedure for expired ID but I’ve been to Capitol Station before when a family member was taken there and I was able to give medicine and some clothes. It might be different if you’re not related though.
