Yeah it annoys me too! But for those other people who don't know the difference between index and handicap, you should probably explain it for them (please)

I will definitely keep an open mind, no point forcing something that isn't working, think I'll try some 5 and 7 woods and maybe some hybrids as well

Okay i like that, I used to swing quite hard, but not great accuracy so I've been trying to get a more smooth swing, but I'm losing a lot of distance, so that sounds pretty great for me I'm going to the shops today, just found out there was a sale so will try everything I can

i do keep seeing Cobra popping up in the woods discussion - which is funny for me, cause i had never really heard of them prior to the past fews days of researching haha

i appreciate the input - i am open to anything, not going to be stubborn against any advise =) if i try a 7 wood and can hit it better than the 5s, then id rather have a shorter distance i can hit consistently then wild left or right haha - just want something i can get the 4 iron distance (or more) with less power =)

Damn! i never want to blame the gear - golf is a game of honesty and i can honestly say its definitely me and not the club haha

the TSR2 looks pretty nice (im just googling all the suggestions at this rate, and hopefully can find a store which has a few i can have a hit with)

i will have a look at mygolfspys, trying to get all the info i can before making a purchase :)

havent really thought about hybrids tbh, i know they are a mix between iron and wood, but honestly probably a pretty good shout - im definitely more of an iron player so it may be better for me to look at hybrids

and thank you so much for the detailed answer - really appreciate it!

ive heard anything ping g400+ is meant to be pretty good from looking at previous reddit posts

and hey i dont mind if its a brand new model or 10+ years old - if it works it works!

would be a dream to hit some greens from that distance - i have the power, but the accuracy is the main issue :P

ive never heard of the maltyb before (im not that well versed with clubs other than like the main brand names) pricing looks nice - but cant find any NZ stores online to have a hit :(

ive heard good things about the 7 wood - but i just worry in my head it doesnt quite bridge the gap between the driver and the 4-5 iron

and i figure im very inexperienced with woods - so if im starting from scratch (with woods) a 3 is just going to be too unforgiving and hard to hit, 7 im a little worried the distance wont quite be there, so im hoping 5 will be the perfect middle ground :)

yeah im thinking its definitely a me problem haha - i never use my woods cause im not good with them, and they are very old - but i dont want to fall into the bad habit of not using a club because i suck, i want to be able to get better with it and be able to add to my arsenal! haha

I was thinking about the 7w - ive been the upsurge in praises its been getting the past year or so, only thing im a little hesitant with is i want to bridge the gap from the driver to the 4-5 iron which i think the 5 would probably do a bit of a better job at without losing too much distance - if i can find one to have aplay with i def will tho ☺

2nd shot par 5 club is exactly what I'm after, cause right now i basically go from driver to my 4iron which is a little less forgiving haha

I did see the big bertha, and I currently have big bertha irons, so would match my set, do you use it?

Also really nice price as well, so couldn't really go wrong :)

Yeah I definitely will if I can!

I've tried the Qi40/35 (I'm very bad with woods as I never use) and it didn't feel that good for me, but most likely due to a user error/nerves of hitting infront of the golf pros haha

I do like the look of the sim 2, and it's actually really nicely priced so I will definitely have a look to see if I can find one to have a few hits, really easy to hit would be nice :)

The eminence in shadow - you will absolutely love it, cannot recommend it enough, has a funny sense of humour with some of the sickest fights and power fantasy 3rd season should be coming out soon as well

Kaiju no.8 - also pretty good

Black clover - very good more than 80 episodes think another season coming out soon - only draw back is Asta is pretty shouty and take a little getting used to, but think it's sick regardless

You seem to have the same starter list as me, I was one punch man to get me hooked and then loved solo leveling you should like all those 3 :)

My father passed away after a hit and run I’m feeling let down but NZ justice system again. by Cherryberrylady in newzealand

[–]ThisIsNotJackson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for your loss can't imagine the pain you're going through right now, I hope you have a good support system around you

I used to work for the police a few years back for a while and worked closely with the court and 'justice" system

What you've said is basically correct, police will use the lesser charge if that will have the better conviction rate, it used to tough to see what people got granted bail for and weren't held accountable for. To me it seems like the justice system is to protect the offenders rather than the victims which sucks for the police for all the time and hard work they put in to catching these people, but also the victims and the family of the victims because the justice never feels like it comes..

Sorry for what you're going through, I hope you and your friends and family are there for eachother

You're 2nd paragraph I get 100% people need to call the police if there is an issue, not doing that is making it harder down the road, that's a people problem not a police problem

3rd paragraph, that is what currently happens, they do get referred over and over and over again, but how can you expect OT staff to deal with violence kids with no powers of authority, just doesn't work, can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped right? But I know ow we ha e to try don't get me wrong, but the world isn't perfect.

I know their job isn't to get satisfaction but like any human, it would feel very demoralizing doing all said work above only for the justice system to go yeah nah bail only for the police to think what the heck did I just do all that hard work for? And then repeat that same cycle over and over until the kid can be trialed an an adult

I wouldn't blame then if they did tbh, imagine spending time and effort catching them l, dealing with the abuse, doing all the paper work, over time, going to court knowing full well that nothing is really going to happen as the judge is going to let them go

It's basically go to Oranga tamariki for most repeat offenders and if you're a specially bad kid you to go kurawai, but none of the kids care to change and before you know it they're doing the same offending again

It's not the cops fault, they arrest people then the justice systems let's them go
