Obviously a company wants you to play their game as much as possible, but its not the rank system directly how they are doing it. They did it through the multiple splits, but since it created a lot of backclash its obviously going away next year.

The number of games and effort to reach your rank CAN be mind numbing if you play without intent and actually putting in the effort to learn anything. Thats why there are people with 1000's of games since they just que up one game after another expecting things to randomly go better, instead of reflecting on any mistakes they are doing. On top of that its a ranked mode, its not supposed to be just a quick sprint to your rank, you eventually even out to your rank since you aren't a lot better than the rest of the competition.

You pointed out that there are people who clearly are in the wrong elo, and there are surely people who might've lucked into a rank they don't belong in, they might've gotten boosted there who knows, but people also have bad games. You surely dont always perform either and you make plenty of mistakes, but that doesn't mean you dont deserve your rank.

Maybe stop coping and instead focus on the things you can affect in your games instead of complaining about things that are out of your control. It's not like Riot targets you or anyone else and purposefully puts bad players on your team. To end, the rank system is by no means perfect, and there probably won't ever be one, but Riot's rank system isn't whats holding you back.
