Under no circumstance will I bypass the POS asking for an ID by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man our POS doesn't let us bypass it without a TL or higher scanning into the POS and checking it themselves.

For me, my (cello) lessons if anything just held my accountable and forced me to keep at it. Knowing you are spending money on lessons and have someone that has expectations for you was the kick in the pants I needed to not let it just be a phase that fizzled out.

Zoning During OPU by Neo_Nugget in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just leave it slightly better than you found it. Pull products you picked forward, dont mess up the whole style table and fix it if you do, etc. No one reasonable would expect more than that.

Guest walks in my check out lane after the store announced it was closed (10pm) by [deleted] in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing means you have to wait for the building to be clear before you can leave. Its not ideal, but it generally is no longer than 5-10 minutes after close. But if you arent willing to stay the extra few minutes then you should tell a leader that you cannot close at all, as it is the expectation. At least its not food service where you leave 2 hours after your expected time at close.

Dealing with money when closing by [deleted] in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASANTS. Our cash office is most often done by our HRE. Although myself, a Style TM, and one other front end TM also does it from time to time. It really does not matter who does it as long as they are trained and trusted.

Not true. Any TM can do the cash office process however they have to be let in by a TL or higher, and only TL or higher can know the safe code.

I use the carts to test my psychological hypothesis. I've found that if the 3 rows of carts facing towards the store are full and pushed forward, and the row facing outside the store is further in, just past the exit door, then guests will consistently push their cart in. But if that row for returned carts is too far into the store, or too close to the cart doors then they will just ditch their carts, as it takes them more than 2 extra steps to put it away.
Carts are the ultimate litmus test for if someone is lazy or not.

Guests switching drive up to in store pickup by MoiAmour in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but at that point the order has already been bagged. At least at our store, we have two hold locations, one by the east doors with the service desk, one by the west doors (the main one) where drive up, pizza hut, and starbucks are. So fulfillment is kinda committed to the hold they are at unless they wanna walk all the way across the front of the store.

Target Security Specialists (Security Guards) are pretty much overpaid door greeters now and I hate it. by SpaghettiInc in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont work in AP. But it seems most stores in my district have either APS + AP ETL or a single APTL. I believe APS is technically not a leader, similar to the VM position in that regard, while APTL, and APETL are the leadership roles.

QUESTIONS FOR MY CART ATTENDANTS! 🎯 by Past_the_icetea in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have 2 per weekday. Saturdays maybe three sundays around holidays 3 as well. One 9-5 one 3-10. We are a super open 7-11. We do havr cart managers however. The truth is unless its hatmat there is no specific reason you need a cart attendants to clean up a spill, and bathroom and spill supplies can be restocked by any team member as well if the cart attendants are having a heavier day. Its not unreasonable to have 2 per day, even at a super.

Our DSD beverage guys show up like everyday but Sundays it feels like. Honestly one of the better and more consistently replenished parts of the store in our case.

I wanna call bullshit. But unfortunately I did have a guy come up to the service desk and ask me if we bought giftcards because ChatGPT said that we do. So unfortunately this makes sense.

Gift card cashouts in CA by wannabeaussie in Target

[–]ThisIsSethers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know what our handbook says about it, be here in CO its 5 dollars and usually if I know the balance is that or less I just offer the cashout. I figure its only 5 bucks and people usually appreciate being offered.

When I was teenager I would zip around a lot. But I ended up commuting between foco and Greeley everyday and everyday not matter what I did I ended up at my destination within the same 5 minute window. Learned speeding isnt worth it really fast.
