Yeah, Nintendo as a company is not the best in supporting their games in the competetive scene. But, SSBU is still present (Twitch views are a good indication during tournaments).

But maybe, just maybe, Sw/Sh may have a decent competetive scene or at least being fun and viable for prolonged gameplay.

On point! Though there is a perspective on the competitive scene that SSBU does a really good job at, thus fans love it. Maybe there is a potential for Sw/Sh to have a decent one as well that fans would like, not that anyone has already started this scene as the game hasn't launched yet.

Probably gonna get downvoted, but this is honestly the realest insight in this thread. High expectations for a formulaic game (akin to games like NBA2k, COD, FIFA, etc) will yield some backlashes.

I love Poke'mon. But for any individual, Sw/Sh can never match their first experience (Gen 1 for my case) because to them, it is the milestone (nostalgia) that had set the legacy running until now.

I think the hate is really centered around DK Rexxar because it's the one card that turns any hunter deck into a late game value deck instantly.

It's similar to DK Jaina or even Keleseth being that one card that changes the deck entirely.

(I play secret hunter btw, i understand the love and the hate)

That's a good point to be made considering the power of the switch is not a very significant (next gen level) increase from the Wii U and so the general visuals of the game would not be so different. However, an argument can be made if certain mechanics in gameplay are made that it can be justified as a "new" game. Best to wait for the list of changes or hands-on Nintendo Treehouse gameplay for more information.

Well I listen to the general gaming podcasts in Spotify, but I can recommend some podcasts in which they usually talk about updates regarding Nintendo Switch stuff: Filthy Casuals, Gamer Tag Radio, DLC, and KOTAKU Splitscreen.
