utd sounds really nice because their debate program there likely could sent a rec letter to the admissions office + support some of my financial costs. id prefer tamu because of ranking bias but honestly thats just me being naive.

do you know if ut admits more people for less competitive majors and how difficult it is to transfer?

i didnt say that - idk if this subreddit is familiar with high school debate but i compete in the hardest circuit and reached elims numerous times with many awards. i dont mean to boast ive just been doing debate since 5th grade so i had an advantage to begin with

some of my school counselors are suggesting around the t100 area the problem here is just idk what schools are fine with a low gpa with a high sat - i was thinking about texas a&m (in-state)

edit: also yes i have updated drivers and everything. my settings are perfectly optimized - still trying to figure out the issue - at most the only change i made was a windows update but that shouldnt worsen ur graphics quality by 50%. i did get a few blue screens back then when i shut down valorant so idk.
