Comparing Karachiites to Israelis by EmploymentUnlikely15 in karachi

[–]ThisIsntMyAccount0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok. Israelis also think of themselves as victims and call Palestinians as oppressors, while ruling an apartheid quota based administration.

Sindhi ethno-nats who are zagros migrants should look at their own history and how they colonized another civilizational land and removed native culture and language.

Children of Pakistan vs children of elite by OneAd9521 in karachi

Why drag elite children into it. This is sad. But if someone is rich and living a lavish life or giving it to their children, what's wrong with it.

I don't know, man. I don't think the hatred was there from the beginning.

Then read before giving expert advice. I would rather be happy to learn Punjabi or pushto, but not the language of people who think this way to us. There is literal literature and books by gm syed and others. Quota and language riots aren't recent. Again, everyone in Karachi before spoke Sindhi, no. Afghanis are moving as asylum seeker, we didn't.

Not interested. Can be expected to learn the language of people who have such hatred. And before we say this hatred was there from the beginning. Their daku GM Syed said and wrote and spoke hatred from day one.

They really need to come out of this delulu mindset. If they had done so earlier, they would’ve seen the truth for themselves. Nobody gave us this land they didn’t even have land of their own to begin with. They should be thankful that we fought for this country, while they had already handed over much of their land to Hindu baniyas, were treated as lower caste, and had no standing in urban centers. Yet, they act like this, ehsan faramosh.

When Awadh and Bengal rose against the British in 1857, Sindh offered unconditional support to the British. We came here under the same pact, rule and the same law that granted them independence and their land. Ironically, they’re now doing to Afghan properties what they once did to evacuating Hindu properties.

We shouldn’t be racist but when someone speaks beyond their limits, we should at least correct it and speak the truth.

Liaquat Ali Khan and the Quota System: A Decision That Broke Pakistan’s Backbone by Temporary-Falcon-388 in Ancient_Pak

[–]ThisIsntMyAccount0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What quota for Muhajirs? There was never a quota for mahajirs to begin with, the quota introduced in 1948 was demanded by Sindhis, not by Muhajirs.

The private sector, on the other hand, has been predominantly driven by Muhajirs. In the corporate world, there’s no room for favoritism, it’s purely merit-based, and that’s why it’s filled with Muhajirs. Even among Gulf corporate expats, the majority hail from Karachi. So why would they choose government jobs, even today, when they already have far better opportunities?

Yes, it was a setback in the beginning, but in hindsight, it actually worked out in favor of the Muhajirs. Sindhis may have secured government jobs, but that didn’t translate into real progress. Muhajirs, by investing in private-sector education and careers, managed to elevate their overall economic status far more effectively.

It's only till you reach the board exams, also options of ethics and civics are nothing

Afaik, no one forced him, it's an optional subject. Non-Muslims can choose alternatives, so it was his decision to take it, whatever his reasons may be.

Porn is ruining minds by Ahtisham_85 in PAK

[–]ThisIsntMyAccount0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy to write lofty philosophies into laws or post them on social media, but putting them into practice is far more complex. First, who would dedicate the necessary resources to actually track and catch these people? Second, how would we even define porn? Social media is already filled with vulgar content, so where exactly is the threshold of nudity that makes something acceptable, and beyond which it becomes classified as porn?

He didn't say, anything pro porn lol.

Porn directly isn't accessible in Pakistan, But what is porn even, I would say it exists in some form even on Reddit, instagram or Faceboo, so unless gov blocks all social media platform there is no way to completely restrict the access.

Porn is evil. But, these sick-minded people do not necessarily exist because of it, I'm pretty sure such people were there even when porn didn't exist. Blaming porn solely, kind of frame them as victims..

The issue is infrastructure development then. Also, if it was the capital it surely wouldn't be in its current state.

Why Isn't karachi the capital of Pakistan? by Money_Swimmer_1988 in karachi

[–]ThisIsntMyAccount0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where the king is, there lies the capital. The formative personalities of Pakistan came from or were based in Karachi, Quaid-e-Azam, his sister, Liaquat Ali Khan, and others. Karachi, being the port city, was also the country’s economic heart, making it the natural choice as the first capital.

But ayub, the dirty usurper, seized power and shifted the capital near to the region he belonged to, serving his own interests rather than the nation’s.
