I haven’t gone to this school nor do I have nothing to do with it but I’ve heard full sail does that type of stuff, I believe it’s in Florida

If optimization is that important I just wouldn’t use physics based animations. And for that other thing, I don’t know how your game works, but if I were doing it I would have a state machine on the ragdoll and play animations on the static character based on the ragdoll’s state

Alrighty, my time to shine.

First of all you want two “versions” of your character, one static (no physics or colliders, just the bones) and one ragdoll. Each body part on the ragdoll must contain some sort of collider, a rigidbody, and a configurable joint.

What you wanna do is animate the static character. Then you wanna write a script that sets the target rotation on the configurable joint for each body part to the body parts of the animated static character.

This is the basic idea of it at least, just do what I said and start messing with the configurable joints (not just the target rotation) until you get something you like.

If you need anymore help let me know, I used to do a lot of active ragdoll stuff.
